    What kind of Landing page are you talking about? Does this to you mean you want the main url to be and “enter” page that makes accessing your site a two page process? Or does this mean You are wanting to have pages landing pages for ad campaigns and promotions?

    When you change a url in a database you have to use a script to do that. You can not do basic search and replace.. Just replacing causes issues with data serialization, because themes and widgets store values with the length of your URL marked.

    You have several options here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

    Better Search and replace is good.

    although if your moving a site I really recommend using duplicator: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

    Hi!

    Thank you for a great support forum – as an absolute novice I have found answers to most of my questions here in the forums. So pleased I chose Pinnacle.

    My question…
    After I updated the theme yesterday my transparent menu is appearing as a white rectangle where the menu items are, over my photo slider background. I don’t have a link because I haven’t published my site yet…I could share a screenshot somehow if that helps…

    The sticky menu appears perfectly when I scroll but as soon as the transparent header reappears the menu becomes a white block.

    I have fiddled with the Menu settings and tried to determine if I have done something silly in the Theme Options and Appearance > Menus. But I am currently a bit stuck.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

    I too have this problem and all I did was change the url in the database. I restored a db from an earlier dump and all was well. So it is something to do with the url in the db. I have this site in a dev environment and I need to move it to prod but I don’t want to rebuild the styling. What is the solution.

    Hi Ben,

    ok, inserted your snippet – the headline looks better now. Thank you!

    Screenshot from SGS4 is here: http://capital-gain.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2015/10/Screenshot_2015-10-24-12-40-17.png

    Shouldn’t the text (not the headline, of course) wrap?

    🙂

    Ok. How can I move mobile menu to line up with site logo? It’s on bottom now making the black bar to thick in mobile. I would like to have it thinner. Thickness of logo if possible

    Hey,
    Just FYI your site is in maintenance.

    Which cart icon are you referring to? If it’s the one already in the topbar then you could do this through a workaround with the topbar menu but you can’t move the primary menu cart into the topbar.

    Hi,

    I am using Virtue free theme (although I have purchase the premium version of Pinnacle & Virtue for other sites) and am having trouble with the image menu on the home page not scaling/re sizing on smaller screens. The sides of the images cut off (before finally wrapping), which I don’t want to do as the image have text on them. I would really appreciate if someone could advice me on a way to fix this.

    I have tried:

    max-width: 100%;
    height: auto;

    The site address is:

    Thanks,

    I have the main nav of my site on the topbar, rather than the main nav area. When I select a theme skin, like pebble.css, the background of the menu on mobile is that of the main content area, and it looks weird. I have overridden this with the following custom css…

    .kad-nav-inner, .mobileclass {
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.05);
    }

    Check it out please. You might want to change the default. Here’s my site…

    Thanks,

    Hi Lena (and others), it looks like we are both from SLovenia and we both use Virtue. I am having a little different issue here: http://www.vgradneomare.eu/. I don’t know how to set H1 on my static first site, which would obviously be vgradne omare, because primary slider text is not considered as H1. If any one can help, I would be very thankfull.
    This is my money site, without any H1. Don’t want to change the look of the site, also want to keep slider above the fold. Thanks. Matija

    No you don’t. You don’t need ssl. If your getting a notice it means your have it set somewhere to redirect to an ssl checkout page. You need to turn that off so your checkout is not ssl because you don’t need it when your not taking payment information.

    Send me a login to your site if your not getting it, I’ll fix the setup.

    I don’t have that setting on my page. But I did find this on woocommmerce:

    Setting up SSL with WooCommerce ↑ Back to Top
    To use SSL on your website you will need to purchase an SSL certificate – there are many providers of certificates all ranging in price (your hosting provider may also sell certificates). The purchased certificate is set up on your server, usually by your host.

    WooCommerce currently supports dedicated SSL certificates – not shared.
    Once set up, you should be able to access your store via https://yoursite.com – your browser may show a ‘lock’ icon in the address bar to show it is secured.

    So I bet I need that. 🙁

    Hey,
    The checkout page is not paypal. That is where the users adds billing and shipping information for you for the site. It’s the next step that you click “proceed to paypal” and thats where payment information is captured.

    Go to the pages > checkout and make sure you have not set “force ssl” for that page.
