I have setup 5 of my clients on this theme, and I have experienced multiple issues the entire time, hoping that new updates would resolve the issues. Gray slider screens, missing icons, missing parallax images, missing widgets. Could someone please contact me? Thanks

October 14, 2015 at 1:34 pm #62783Hey,
Looks like I just need to explain how the slider works.I looked at your site and the thing I noticed is your slider is too large on mobile. Which I’m guessing is what your referring to?
The Kadence Slider maintains height throughout the width of the screen. Because it’s a background slider with the point being on text added in the slider settings. I’m looking and your adding the text as part of the image so a background slider isn’t your best option when your content is all in the image. Yo would be better off with the flex, cyclone or revolution slider.
The way the Kadence slider works:
If you set the height at 700 that is what you get on a screen that is 1000px wide and 2000px wide (there are overrides for tablet and mobile in the options.)The images are set to “cover” those areas and cover always respects aspect ratio so your image doesn’t get distorted.
Meaning if the width of your image is 1000px and the height is 700px on a screen that is 1000px wide the image would look great because it is the same size as the screen and slider height. but if the screen is 2000px wide then your image has to double in size to fit 2000px… that means that your height is doubled. So from 700 to now 1400px but since your slider is still only 700px high it cuts off the top and bottom of the image that doesn’t fit any longer.
This also works the same way in reverse if you go from a 1000px screen width to a 500px screen width the height is still 700px so the image is not squeeze any smaller so that the height matches and this you have 500px of the sides now cut off.
That is the point and design of the Kadence Slider. It doesn’t size based on the image but on the settings. Image follows settings.
Other sliders do this differently for example the flex slider. The height changes based on the image.
What you can do it use a slider that changed based on image or you can change your Kadence slider settings to better match your image. For example in the mobile setting making the height 100px.
Another thing I noticed on your site is that you don’t have a mobile menu selected yet?
In your appearance > menus make sure to assign a menu to the mobile navigation.
Hope that helps,
Ben

October 14, 2015 at 1:20 pm #62780Hey Luisa,
Are you loading open sans anywhere? Like in the theme options or in your rev slider google fonts?I just looked at your site and I’m seeing “font-family: Roboto;” for the font titles? That right?
For google fonts to work they have to be loaded. Right now looks like the theme options are loading lato. So you would need to set one of your fonts to these for them to be loaded or add these in your rev slider fonts. see here: http://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-settings/#googlefonts

Link is http://www.jdezire.co.uk/blog/
It’s been working fine up to today. I will contact the guy who hosts it for me but all the other sites he hosts for us seem fine.
I really should have made a backup, one of those things I hadn’t quite got round to but regretting it now.
I’m considering wiping it tomorrow and reinstalling WordPress. I assume it’s okay to reinstall the template.
Thanks

Hello, I am using a theme called VIRTUE PREMIUM. Its supposed to be fully responsive, but when my site is viewed on mobile devices the layout is changed and the pages don’t shrink to the screen size. Should this not be automatic or am I missing something? thanks

October 14, 2015 at 12:05 pm #62733Hey Sue,
Here is the tutorial: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#installationYou can go to appearance > themes > add new.
If you don’t see this then you are either not the admin of the site and you need to make sure the user account is the admin or you are on a server that doesn’t allow adding new themes.
If your not getting this send me a temp login to your site and I would be happy to take a look.

October 14, 2015 at 11:29 am #62728Hey,
did you see where I wrote that you added that css twice… It’s still on your site. You need to remove it that’s breaking the page.If you wanted the sidebar to be on the left you can use this css found here:
https://www.kadencewp.com/post-frequently-asked-questions/
@media (min-width: 992px) { body .main.col-lg-9 {float:right;} }You need to go into the custom css of your site and remove all of the times you added
#content .main { float: right; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeThis afternoon I clicked onto my website to edit a few little bits and before I could do much everything went wrong much to my confusion.
Loads of weird things keep happening and the site has gone really slow. The first thing I noticed was on moving one item from the ‘enabled’ to ‘disabled’ column on the active layout manager and saving the action that everything seemed to jump into the disabled column and lots of my settings on the home layout page reverted back to default too.
In the end I had to reset the entire section as the ‘enabled’ column disappeared completely.
I’m really at a loss on what has happened and just frustrated that I don’t have a back up so I need to almost start again.
Can you also tell me how to change the colour of the top bar from the original blue to white again.
Many thanks, Joanne

October 14, 2015 at 11:16 am #62722Hey,
1. You can see how I update the site.2. I can’t speak for why your plugin isn’t working. I can tell you that before you wanted to hide the normal checkout button on the cart page so we added css in your custom css box. I’ve change that css so the button is now showing and I’ve correctly set up your checkout page.

October 14, 2015 at 10:34 am #62712Hey,
1. Order can be set by going to products > attributes and configuring items. There you can set the order. The order of your variations doesn’t effect it.2. If your missing sizes it usually means you don’t have a variation set up correctly for that site. can you confirm for example there is a variation for black with size 6 gloves with a price set?

In forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 14, 2015 at 10:12 am #62709Hi I have just purchased your latest premium version of kadence but cannot seem to find where to uplaod the premium theme into my wordpress site. Please an you advise how I should do this.
I have gone to Appearance – Theme Options – Import / Export . Import options (Import from file) I then click on Import from file and it gives me a Warning message message and “Input your backup file below and hit import to restore your sites options from a back-up.
No idea what to put in there. I don’t really have anything I want to save from my initial testing of the free version and simply want to upload the new premium version.
Please can you advise how I can do this?
Many thanks in anticipation

Ok, after few tries i did it 🙂
But…The problem is that slider is not a background ;( I cant put ‘stuff’ on it 🙁
So…is it possible to make a video as a background which is covering site header like a slider i have done?
Maybe some special CSS for it???

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Error on Home Page
I’m currently having a problem with a site that I’m creating using the Virtue theme. The home page should have a revolution slider at the top with some text below it – which it originally did have – but when I added a blog page to the site, the blog posts replaced the home page text for some reason.
I deleted the blog posts, but now when the site loads I only have the revolution slider & no text. Yet when I actually click on the ‘Home’ button, the text re-appears but the revolution slider is gone!
I hope you can offer some help as to why this is happening – the site is *Login to see link
Thanks
