Hi, thanks for the reply. What I mean is what people on google see when they find my website, so the main words in blue and the description underneath. Is this what your links in WP refer to? Apologies for my lack of knowledge!

    Hi Nicholas,

i’m not sure what you call home title and description, but if you mean SITE TITLE and TAGLINE you can find them in the Word Press Menu under APPEARANCE – CUSTOMIZE – Site identity.

Please also provide a link to your site with any request.

    Just another happy Virtue user,
    B.

On my site I note I can change the size of the menu fonts in the Kadence theme but not the size of the drop down menu fonts. So if I want all the dropdown menu fonts to be a particular size, what css would I add? Or do I have to add css for each menu individually? My site is here http://bit.ly/1cYU7NN and I’d like the dropdown menu fonts to be the same size as the actual menu fonts. Thanks! for your help. Edited to add: I just did all dropdowns for top, main, secondary 3 menus separately but would like to do all in one css line if possible.

I’m using Jetpack Sharing with Icons Only, which works fine on my site with standard themes like Twenty Fifteen. With Virtue Premium, however, while the buttons themselves show, the icon images within do not.

You can see what I’m talking about on this page, under Share This beneath each blog post:

Any idea how to get the icons to show correctly?

    Cheers,
    Rick

Hi, could someone explain to me the best way to change my virtue sites home title and home description? There does not seem to be any easy way to do this, I know you can use Yoast or All In One Seo plugins, but All In One plugin does not allow the changes unless the page is static. Mine is not static, if I set it to static the content on my site disappears. Yoast has too many options which I am not sure about, to feel confident in using it.

    So my questions are:

Is there an easy way for me to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, it seems as if there isnt an easy way to do this.

    Thanks

    Hi Ben/Hannah,

Today morning, the below has happened:

1- I found Chinese letters in my home page, though the website is in English.
2- I have accessed my dashboard, but when I tried to access pages, I received an error message that my with an error in a plugin file called “wp-ban” as I did not install such plan, I deleted that file through my host file manager.
3- The issues was resolved and I could access my dashboard.

But when my website appears in Google, in the search result there is this sentence” this website may be hacked”

Do you have an idea how can I resolve this?

    Thanks for your quick help.

    Regards

I’m admittedly a novice at wordpress. I didn’t have that hard of a time figuring out how to format my site but am having a tough time with my homepage and revolution slider. I have two questions at the moment.
    a. How do I make my slider the full width of the browser window?
    b. How do I set up a simple Ken Burns effect on the existing background on the slider? I turned the setting on and nothing happens.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hey
You can’t use an rss feed in the themes blog shortcode (that will only pull from the sites posts) but you can show an rss feed. The layout would be determined by the plugin you were using to display the feed:

    For one example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/hungryfeed

Hi, we’ve recently decided to start using Hubspot for some pages of our website. One of those is the blog pages. We haven’t made anything live yet, however, because we have the blog shortcode being utilized on the homepage to show the 2 most recent blogs. You can see that here: at the bottom under “beyond the bit.” Our concern is that once we make the hubspot blog live, that shortcode will still be pulling from wordpress. If we have an RSS feed from Hubspot, can we use the shortcode and have it pull from the new Husbpot RSS feed instead of the wordpress feed? If so, how would the shortcode be configured?

    Thank you!

Hello I’ve just made a clean install of wordpress, virtue and created a child theme. There is an error in red in theme options: FORCED DEV MODE OFF ENABLED.
Ive never seen this error and have installed virtue on many websites before. I have also noticed another error which perhaps is related? That is if I add a background image or color in Advanced styling > Body it appears below the footer. Again I have never seen this error before.

How can I fix this please?

    Thanks

Reset the CSS on the cobblestone site to 0px and it has indeed brought the pin-it button down. But it has also brought the close-it button down over the image as well and when you hover over the pin-it, it still disappears. I’ve left it like that for the moment (even though it’s a live site) for you to see.

As for the needlemakers site, I still can’t see anything – on Firefox. I did a quick check on Chrome though, and you are right. It’s showing on the page image but not on the lightbox (which is OK as that is what I wanted). Logging out and in made no difference on Firefox. Haven’t tried IE as yet.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for pointing out the issue with the woff files. How can I check to see if this is resolved? I found a potential solution here, so I want to check to see if it is fixed.

Also, thank you for fixing my CSS. The extra space is now gone! 🙂

    Thanks!!
