Hello again

I have downloaded the Virtue Premium – as you showed me – but there is no change to any of the features. For example ‘appearance/theme option/homelayout manager/…’ there are still only five options. And the one I particularly want carousel portfolio will still not work on my homepage.

I am a visual artist – painter – and all I want a simple site to display my work. A simple online gallery.

I got the same error as Mark
“Sorry but your import failed. Most likely, it cannot work with your webhost. You will have to ask your webhost to increase your PHP max_execution_time (or any other webserver timeout to at least 300 secs) and memory_limit (to at least 196M) temporarily.”

Tried doing the manual WordPress import from both the demo-content unzipped and the kadence-importer unzipped and get the following error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Would be happy to provide login info to site for further support – using 1and1 and tried under 2 different hosting packages

Hey Jasmine,
The font will only work from css if it’s being loaded somewhere else in the site. So you would need to use it somewhere in theme options > typography. Does that make sense?

I know for the items on sale you simply put a sale price on the products page and that adds the sale content. The other question I have is the large images on my homepage; yes I know you’re laughing,… I figured out to resize the window. The image; however, I resize it in the media screen and nope– it gets bigger! Is there a magic “Fit to screen” option I’m overlooking? Thanks Ben Gonzalez

by the way your server seems to have a lot of blocks have you checked with your host to make sure they are not blocking the google api? Since the fonts are all going to load from there.

Ok, thanks! Great. Your feedback/insights are helpful and have been acted on…

I found a setting to disable the lightbox for the Facebook Feed plugin. (It completely disables the lightbox functionality for the feed though – clicking goes directly to the Facebook post itself now instead of opening a lightbox – but I guess that’s alright, especially since it fixed the lightbox issue for the rest of the site.)

Here’s another question for you…

How to I disable light boxes, ONLY ON MOBILE, completely for Virtue? (In other words, I want to be able to click to expand the images and view them in the lightbox on desktop, as it does now, but I don’t want to enable any lightboxes in mobile, as the images are already max-viewable-size/width, and the lightbox just complicates and “uglifies” the mobile interface.

So, I await your response on how I might disable all lightbox features for the theme on mobile, while retaining lightboxes for clicked gallery and product images on desktop. (Preferably, simple CSS would be great, but if not, I already use a child theme, so adding a little PHP override, in the child theme’s functions.php for example, isn’t a big deal either.)

I appreciate your continued assistance.

Hey,
Your the first to say this with 3.1.4 there were a few bugs for people still using php 5.2 but that was fixed with 3.1.4.

Can you send me a login to your site as well as ftp access so I can see whats happening? You can use Set as private reply

I just updated to Virtue Premium 3.1.4 and I am getting white screens on any sites running Virtue Premium.

I have seen a few others had similar issues, but I did not see any resolution.

The problem I had that the new pages are not found with Google. May be this because they are not in the menu

No that would just be a sitemap thing. Use Yoast SEO for better sitemaps.

It really doesn’t matter for seo weather you use pages or posts. It’s just up to your preference.

When I first click on an image in any Virtue gallery, it loads a lightbox for that image OVER the normal lightbox (with the arrows, etc.) that should be appearing. I need to click off the first one then I see the “normal” lightboz that I should be seeing. I don’t have any other light boxes enabled that I’m aware of here.

I checked here:

WooCommerce>Settings>PRoduct>Displays>Product Images>Product Image Gallery>Product Image Gallery Enable Lightbox for product images (Include WooCommerce’s lightbox. Product gallery images will open in a lightbox.) is NOT CHECKED / OFF.

Everything seems to work fine for the WooCommerce product pages (lightbox acts normally, etc.) but for the Virtue Galleries, it is broken with the “double” lightbox.

Here’s am example (it happens on all Virtue Gallery pages):

Please let me know what’s going on here, so I can adjust accordingly. I just can’t find anything obvious to fix this. This is a live site, so it’s pretty urgent. It;s messy to view the galleries, especially in mobile, for obvious reasons (“double” lightbox is just bad form, in any case).

Hey,
so you have empty carousels but no errors on your site. I suggest you contact there support. Tell them to look at the site and they can clearly see those are js logs not errors.
