Topic: Mobile Menu Icon only Iccue
Hi Guys
My website http://www.cloudwireless.uk has a icon only menu when loading it on a mobile however I wanted it to have the word “menu”.
I have switched off ICON ONLY in the Mobile menu but it made no differenceIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi Guys
My website http://www.cloudwireless.uk has a pink hover colour when hovering over the 3 image menus towards the bottom of the home page. Could you please advise where/how I switch this off.

Hello,
I’m not seeing anything obvious keeping the images from showing. I would test your site for a plugin conflict by deactivating your plugins one by one to see if the images show when a certain plugin is OFF.
Be sure to clear your cache after each trial. Let me know if you find a conflict.

Hi Ben,
Please, include the Italian translation of both themes and Kadence blocks I sent you the file in your updates otherwise I have to do manually for all sites.
Thanks

January 2, 2019 at 6:57 am #211954Thanks Kevin. I will start digging into using Yoast to properly update urls. Thanks for the link.
I am using the theme portfolio, but there is a weird confusion. Any time I update any plugin on the site, I get 404 errors for portfolio pages. I have figured out to fix the issue, I have to go into JetPack and simply reset the toggle for using Portfolios (I turn it on, then turn it off), then my site resets something somewhere, and my links from the Dive Travel portfolio grid work once again. When I work on this site, I may remove JetPack if the WooCommerce plugins allow me to do so. It seems at the time I set up the store, I had to use Jetpack with WooCommerce for some reason

January 2, 2019 at 4:46 am #211952Sorry, I forgot to give you the information that the second menu appears when clicking on “STRATEGI-programmet”. If you compare the sites sinus.se and dev.sinus.se I think you understand what I mean. The site sinus.se is not build with Virtue Premium.

January 1, 2019 at 4:17 pm #211934Hello,
This is a loaded request. I need some advice on a website that I originally created a couple years ago. It was my first WordPress website and I made a couple critical mistakes.
First, my most horrific and embarrassing mistake is the permalink structure. I used the default setting which put “index” on every page (why that was a default structure, I have no idea). I need to update the permalink structure, but the site has a lot of traffic and is well seasoned from a search engine positioning point of view. What is your best recommendation to tackle the permalink structure? I am certified in Yoast for WordPress. Is this the best plugin to use to remedy the issue by using the redirect feature? This issue is a bit of a nail-biter for me.
Second, I have not yet updated this site to the latest version of WordPress. I’m super-nervous about that because the site is fragile, and I’m guessing that this is because of the permalink structure and/or the use of Jetpack. I regret using Jetpack and I want to deactivate the plugin, but every time I do, the portfolio functionality is lost, and I get “404” errors for portfolio pages. It’s a really strange issue.
Since I’ve started using Kadence Themes, I have found that Ascend works pretty well for most of my sites. So I’m reconsidering a theme change for this site as well.
I’m looking at a do-over here and would value your advice to tackle these major issues, as detailed as you have time for. I do realize that these issues have nothing to do with your awesome themes. But I thought you were the best place to start to get advice.
The site is *Login to see link and I’m happy to private message you the login.
Thank you.

January 1, 2019 at 2:54 pm #211932Hi Ben,
Sorry for long wait to reply, but yes, you were right. The hosting server was old, the version of PHP ancient. I contacted hosting co and had site moved to newer server, with a current build of PHP, now these bugs have disappeared.
Thanks for all your help,

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Link to tab?
I pasted the javascript into the Sitewide Footer Shortcode (would never have thought of that much js as “short”) and it works. You saved me probably 4 or 5 weeks of learning javascript, debugging and hair loss.
And it’s general: I can navigate now to any tab within that page. Great! Thanks.
Refinement: if I navigate to the 5th tab, Kitchen Tale Conversations, it opens the page in the correct tab but loads the page with the content scrolled all the way to the bottom, because this tab’s content is deeper than the monitor. Is it possible to open the page & tab with the content remaining at the top?

Hello,
The main thing that will need to be adjusted when switching themes is the design of your site. You’ll likely have to do some redesigning of a lot of your site, depending on which theme you’re switching to/from.
Your old plugins should not be effected by switching a theme. It is possible for conflicts to arise between certain plugins and themes, but you are correct. Working through them as they show up is the best way to go about finding those problems.
Let me know if this is helpful.

In forum: Virtue ThemeJanuary 1, 2019 at 10:51 am #211918Hi,
I want to move the secondary navigation menu items more to the left in Virtue Premium as it is int this website: *Login to see link . Is that possible to change that in the Theme Options or is that something I can ad in the css?
Happy new year!
Yours Jan / SwedenIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Create page within page with new set of headers
Did you create your homepage using page builder by siteorigin? Is there a reason you switched out of that editor? Page builder is not set up to go back and forth. Have you tried switching back to the page builder editor? It is likely you will have to reset some things.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: page builder ascend image widget
Hi I see with respect to images there a couple of options. I want somewhere between a flip box and an ascend image. I would ideally like to have this https://www.argusmedia.com/ sort of way to display my services. Is there an option to rather not have the box flip, but to have it slide up with content as this website has?
Also I think I’ve asked this before- is there a way to add a selection tab on the main header, similar to this page?
Thanks,
Lara

Hi Kevin
I have been asked to update an old site and I would like to use one of the kadence themes – Is there anything I need to be aware of when I download and activate the new theme over the old one? Will the old plugins etc be removed at that time or is it best to just activate and work through all these issues as they show up? Many thanks, BevIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: problem after installing demo

December 31, 2018 at 1:07 pm #211869If you have blog posts that you didn’t make you should remove them. Demo blog posts (even if not linked to) would be part of your sitemap and that would be negative for your SEO because they are full of placement text.
I would really encourage you to use backups if you are not already. There are lots of free plugins and it’s very easy to revert if you ever do something you didn’t intend to.
