    I am about to start creating a website using Ascend, either Adventures Await or Mountains Calling. I will be using the importer. There will be no eCommerce on the site at this time. But the theme has a shop/my account feature. I assume I simple don’t use the eCommerce side and install the plugin, Simple Membership, right? There isn’t any overlap functionality is there that would be an issue?

    I will be adding the homeowners association resident members myself. So, a registration page won’t be used I believe.

    I will also be using user editor role plugin as well. Input appreciated.

    Hello, I’m using Kadence Slider Pro for the home slider in my Virtue site. No matter how many times I try to horizontally align the title of my single video slide, it will not center on the computer or any device.

    Hello,

    Have you tested your plugins by deactivating one by one? Something is throwing an error on your site and it may be a plugin conflict.

    Let me know if you find anything.

    Hello Joël,

    In the future, please start a new topic for all support queries. Thanks!

    I suggest going through your active plugins and deactivating one by one to see if the site loads properly when a certain plugin is OFF.

    be sure to clear your cache while testing as well.
    Let me know what you find.

    Hi there,

    I have recently added a slider to a new website and like how it looks on desktop, but it doesn’t look good on mobile as the text is too large. Is there any way to style this to suit all devices?

    Many thanks,

    Hi,

    running Chome’s lighthouse “Best practices” audit there are “critical” warnings that to the “Social” links in the footer because these are security risks. I know this is more theoretical but I am not sure what role the score plays in SEO and it does not harm to get this fixed.

    This happens on our Virtue powered site, but since it is also visible on the demo page I’ll use this for reference here.

    This would be simply fixed by adding rel='noopener' to these links in the theme’s code. Would be nice if this could be done in a future version of the theme.

    I recently installed a plugin (N-Media WooCommerce PPOM) in order to have a couple of image drop downs and a couple conditional logic variables.
    You will notice on the 1st 2 image drop downs that there is also a text drop down under each this is not desirable.
    I contacted the developer an of course he says there is a theme issue and provide the attached.
    1. What are your thoughts?
    2. Is there another way to achieve my goals with out the plugin?

    I’ve set it all up but it was still not showing the srcset. So after playing around with the settings I gave up.

    Instead I did some debugging. This way I saw that due to using “shrink” and other settings the template file our site uses is header-style-three.php. However, afaics the appropriate code to make it working only exists in header.php. (There’s also header-style-two-shrink.php and header-style-two.php which both also do not include it)

    I’m referring to the

    						$logo_img = virtue_premium_get_option( 'x1_virtue_logo_upload' );
    						if ( isset( $logo_img['url'] ) && ! empty( $logo_img['url'] ) ) {
    							?>
    							<div id="thelogo">
    								<?php
    								$logo_width = virtue_premium_get_option( 'logo_width' );
    								if ( ! empty( $logo_width ) ) {
    									$img = array(
    										'width'         => virtue_premium_get_option( 'logo_width' ),
    										'height'        => null,
    										'crop'          => false,
    										'class'         => 'kad-standard-logo frtest',
    										'alt'           => get_bloginfo( 'name' ),
    										'id'            => $logo_img['id'],
    										'placeholder'   => false,
    										'lazy'          => true,
    										'schema'        => false,
    										'intrinsic'     => true,
    										'intrinsic_max' => true,
    									);
    									virtue_print_full_image_output( $img );
    								} else {

    I guess this might be put into a function to avoid code duplication and then reused in the appropriate templates.

    PS
    Very minor nitpicking:

    								$logo_width = virtue_premium_get_option( 'logo_width' );
    								if ( ! empty( $logo_width ) ) {
    									$img = array(
    										'width'         => virtue_premium_get_option( 'logo_width' ),

    No need to rerun virtue_premium_get_option here because the value has already been retrieved and store in variable $logo_width which could be reused.

    #204451

    Hello,

    If ” Enable Sticky Header” is OFF, then the menu should not stick to the top of your page. If your site isn’t active, be sure you’re not using a cache on your site until it’s live and finished.

    Can you post a screenshot of your menu? You can host images here:

    Hello –

    I have my main menu set to the secondary navigation location within our site – and it moves as you scroll down. I’d like this menu to stay fixed and not be visible as you scroll down. I have sticky menu turned off in Theme Options/Main Settings/Header Style – Enable Sticky Header OFF and also in Theme Options/Main Settings/Logo Options – Make Primary Menu Sticky OFF. Are there other settings I’m missing to turn off this feature? Our website is in development and is not active.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey,
    You have your wordpress site set up to use the url:

    https://exelcouriers.co.uk/

    but your actual url is this:

    https://www.exelcouriers.co.uk/

    You need to set those to be the same. In your settings you need to make sure www is there.

    Hey,
    I tried that login and it didn’t work.

    The only way to see why the plugin isn’t working would be to check in your php error logs. To access those you have to access the server. I would put it at almost 100% that it’s got nothing to do with the theme. Those kinds of conflicts doesn’t result in fatal errors. Most likely it’s your PHP version and it’s not supported by the plugin but impossible to guess without looking at the error logs.

    I’m happy to look at the icon issue if you can get a login that would allow me to see the site.

    Yep sorry I meant SFTP which is what I was trying. What address should I be using? Because when I try the address for the site you previously posted I can told that the is not accepted.

    Perhaps you have a specific IP address that I need to use?
