In reply to: Missing Modules in Homepage Layout Manager
October 19, 2018 at 12:13 pm #204769Hey,
In the theme options > theme extensions you have turned off Woocommerce, Portfolio, staff. Thus your home page layout options now will not include modules that require those parts of a site.
What is it you are looking for that you want to use?

Hum….Interesting, Ben. I will check that. Thank you.
Kevin,
Yes, I upgraded to Premium. Love this theme!
Actually, I deactivated all plugins to see if there was a conflict issue casuing. Nothing.
And yes, the Kadence Toolkit is deactivated. So, I am not to reactivate? Correct?
My site is on coming soon mode. Can you still access if I send link?

Thanks Kevin. My host provider just increased my upload size to 128mb and WP overhead to 100mb. that should help with installing Ascend, etc. for sure. And host provider suggested giving Gutenberg a try with new website at the gate. Have to get used to it. Host provider is just starting to test it out themselves…a new learning curve for us all.

Hey,
I just tested on my site and the mobile menu is working properly no matter how it’s assigned. I am seeing some javascript errors on your site though.
Have you tested your plugins by deactivating one by one to see if the menu works properly when a certain plugin is OFF?

Hello,
1. I can give you some CSS to make your contact form match the rest of your site. Can you please post a link to it?
2. The best way to customize your contact for is to use a plugin. Either contact form 7 or wp forms are great options:
https://www.kadencewp.com/create-custom-contact-forms-with-wpforms/
https://www.kadencewp.com/custom-contact-forms/3. You should be able to do that with either plugin.

In forum: Membership ForumsI’m using Slider Pro and I’m having some problems with the font preview display of some italic Google fonts. When I try to use Libre Baskerville Normal 400 Italic the font display in the Fonts selection area sometimes shows the proper font but then if I save changes and then use that font on a slider it displays with the incorrect font in the slider composition page as well as in the live preview. It also displays incorrectly on the actual slider placed on a web page in an Ascend theme’d site. But if I then set one of the Ascend theme fonts to Baskerville Normal 400 Italic (such as the subtitle in my tests) and reload the Ascend page with the slider then the font displays properly on the Ascend page, but still incorrectly in the Kadence Slider backend. This lets me use the font properly on the slider, but makes it very difficult to position it in the slider backend where it shows the wrong font.
I’d provide a link but this is on an offline dev site at the moment. Can you try using that font in a slider on your end to see if it works consistently on your end?

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Anchor Link Scroll Overshoot
Hello,
I’ve enabled anchor link scroll and it works for the most part, however, when first visiting the page, if I click the “awards” or “speaking” menu items it overshoots the anchor. Then, if I click again, it goes to the correct location. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
Thank you so much in advance!

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi I have added products to my store which uses Pinnacle and Woocommerce. I have created a new category but any products added to this category have a different behaviour:
New products on this page (category accessories) have an Add to Basket button:
Earlier products listed on this page (category kbx-size-1) have an View details button:
I need all products to have a View Details button but cannot work out how this is being achieved on some products but not others. I have picked this site up from another developer and have checked the CSS and functions.php but can’t work out what is happening. Also I’m new to Pinnacle and can’t see anything in docs or forum. I am happy to talk to Woocommerce support but thought I’d look at the Pinnacle side of things first.
Many thanks
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey,
As far as I understand, the thumbnail images for the portfolio grid are generated automatically with width 732 pixels from the specified featured images, however, apparently, a very lossy compression is used resulting in the quality of the generated images that is not sufficient for my art representation needs. I found one adhocish way around this, which is to rescale the image down to 732 pixel width in photoshop and then add this as a featured image, then wordpress does not make any further compression and just shows that image in the portfolio grid (I tried this with two images to see that it works, but the rest are still automatically rescaled).
My portfolio grid page: *Login to see link
My questions.
1. Is it possible to add something to my child theme so that highest quality compression is used to generate the portfolio thumbnails from high resolution featured images and I do not need to manually create the exact resolution featured image in photoshop every time? If so, could you generate the code snippet?
2. Is it possible to have the width quality of the portfolion thumbnail image higher than 732 pixels, e.g. 1100, in the three equal width column portfolio grid layout as in my website? If so, could you generate the code snippet?
3. Could the outer left and right margins of my portfolio site be made narrower so that images in the portfolio grid appear wider and so high quality of the images can be appreciated? If so, could you generate the code snippet?Thank you very much for you help.
I’m having an issue where images (any image) is disappearing after the animation completes. I’ve narrowed it down to the opacity and display properties setting themselves to 0 and none respectively.
This is the element with class ‘ksp-image-layer’ and the classes are appearing inline as element.style.

Apologies I’ve posted a few times regarding slider problems recently. Many thanks for your patience – but I’m really stumped on this bug!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Responsive slider text
October 17, 2018 at 5:15 pm #204599Hey, Using all that text in a slider makes things difficult. You can’t really just have it shink down because it would be too small. You can see an example of that by adding this css:
@media (max-width: 767px) { h5.values-slider-text { font-size: 8px; line-height: 10px; } }So I suggest you build for a responsive site not for a static then try to crame that into a mobile design. To me, that means you don’t add a slider with all that text. Just simply add two text layers (none of the html you are adding) and style the text in the slider. Leave your title and then instead of a huge description add a three – four word subtitle.
Of if all that text has to be somewhere you use tabs instead and have the user click through.
Finally, if those aren’t options you can always hide your long descriptions for mobile only:
@media (max-width: 767px) { h5.values-slider-text { display:none; } }Ben
