I got 3 questions (page: http://www.schmittegmbh.ch):

1: How can I change the color of links on posts, product descriptions, pages etc. without changing the highlight color?
I could of course use custom CSS but that would mean that I need to add custom code to each link whenever I create a new page, product etc.
I was hoping there would be a way to just change the link color without affecting the highlight color site wide.

2: I noticed that there is no way to access the “shopping cart” in the mobile version unless you have a “top bar” on your page. Is there a way to get the little shopping cart icon that shows in the desktop version to show up in the mobile main menu as well? As a work around, I added a link to the shopping cart in the main menu which will also display in the mobile menu. However this is not a good solution as the link in the main menu is redundant in the desktop version of the page (I now have the shopping cart icon as well as the shopping cart link in the desktop version of the page). If there is currently no way to access the shopping cart from the mobile page without a “top bar”, I would like to put in a feature request.

3: For some reason “Shipping” is not translated to the installed local language on the check out page (see posted picture).

I have gone for a large font size for my content and this is inherited by the Home Blog Settings or Latest Blog Posts option.

Is it possible to change the font size only for the latest blog posts summary (currently same size as content).

I want the font size to be 18px (line height 22px).

REASON: the image is out of line currently.

Hey,
Gutenberg is coming and it’s not optional. You don’t have to use it like a page builder but you will have to use it. Even site origin will work within that environment. So I suggest getting used to how it works, experiment with it and site origin. I don’t think you need to change but I would suggest testing with it. I don’t think you need to learn elementor. I would suggest just checking it out but in general you don’t need to move away.

Not sure why it’s not working on my sites.
Had to switch to Smart Slider 3 for now to get this site done.
I’ll revisit it again on a future update though.

Hi guys,

They seem to work fine on the home page, but as soon as you click away to another page, they stop working. Any ideas how to solve this?

I’ve been working in site switching any page that was created to draft that I don’t want to use. What is left active are the Ascend pages created from demo content that use Ascend widgets, and editor is not Gutenberg. How do I get the pages to use Gutenberg?

I installed the Kadence Slider 2.2.8 plugin on the local dev site with MAMP running PHP 7.2.8, WordPress 4.9.8, FireFox 60.0.1, Mac OS X 10.11.6

I left all fonts set as default Raleway.

I set up a new layer slider with default settings.
Added a simple background image.
Created three text layers
1) Raleway 800, Size 70, Color: White, Anim In: rollin, Shadow: large_down
2) Raleway 400, Size 60, Color Purple, Anim In: bouncein, Shadow: large_sharp
3) Raleway 200, Size 40, Color Black, Anim In: rotateInUpRight, Shadow: medium_normal

I then used the blue + button on the slide tab to Duplicate it six times to make six duplicates of the slide.
Then switch to each slide and check the layer settings.

Some of the text layers switch colors, shadows, Animaton, fonts, etc.
Even the original first slide gets mixed up.

Tried a few more tests.

I set PHP to 5.6.29 and max_input_vars to 3000 (just in case that was related)
I turned off all plugins other than Kadence Slider

My font options are set to:

1) Hind Book 300, Subset Latin
2) Hind Medium 500, Subset Latin
3) Hind Bold 700, Subset Latin
4) Libre Baskerville Normal 400, Subset Latin
5) Libre Baskerville Normal 400 Italic, Subset Latin

One thing that’s strange is in the slide layer settings font pop-up menu, both fonts 4 and 5 show up as Libre Baskerville Normal 400. Font #5 doesn’t show the word Italic at all and when selected on the slide it looks like it just uses the Normal 400 version and slants it rather than using the actual italic font, which looks different.

Duplicating a slide that has 3 text layers using fonts 1, 2 & 5 still loses and mixes up some settings on the duplicated slide layers.

I’ll try installing and testing the Kadence Slider plugin on a completely different site/server and see if it behaves differently.

Could it be related to the max input vars issues that I ran into a few years ago when I first started using Virtue Premium on a different site? This server has all default PHP settings.

The PHP and error messages are from a second site I’m working on. The one that I had the Virtue Premium running and had the portfolio navigation bug is running in MAMP locally with PHP 7.2.8.
