HI I set up site to skip the cart and go straight to checkout, i figured out I could load the cart in the same page But it looks a bit clunky,

So Is it possible to add the +/- next to the products in name in the <?php do_action( ‘woocommerce_checkout_order_review’ ); ?>

so the quantity can be updated there?

did find a plugin that does this

but the Plus/Minus buttons do not display, so was wondering if there is any specific to the theme with regards to these that would be the cause.

can I load the default woocommerce Plus/Minus script in the child theme, in order for this plugin to utilise it at the checkout.

If so can you tell me how to /where to add it?

Hello,

I have a color issue in Woocommerce.
Usually you can change colors in the css, but now I can’t found it, hopefully someone can help me.

On the website in the frontpage and webshoppage there is at the moment one product.
At the moment you move with mouse over the image or the select option button, the mouse over will be blue.
That’s not correct, I’ve changed the color in the settings of the theme, but for the Woocommerce it gives a problem.

Where can I changed the blue color, is someone who can tell me.

I’m doing something different for me, creating a site that will use the same header across all pages, no special header or slideshow on the home page. I’ve created a header using a photo as the logo and the header widget area for the business tagline and address. I’d like each to occupy 50% of the header but stretch the entire width of whatever screen it’s displaying on, and that’s where I’m running into problems. I can’t seem to make that happen no how.

The site is HERE.

My site seems to be unsecure, but only on the home page. On the home page: http://www.cagesplus.com I get the circle with an i in the middle, while on other pages I see the padlock and secure sign. I looked into the page source and saw two references to an image that is in an entirely different site without the https prefix. The page source certainly seems to be from the Kadence Slider about the 3rd slide. However, when I look at the slide I see no mention or reference to these images. I even deleted these images on the dev2 site. Are there hidden files or layers I can’t see? Do I have to delete the slide and start over?

When I do console search (more tools/developer tools/console) I see reference to the mixed content images. How do I fix this? Thanks. /Bob DeCloss

Hey,
So my first guess is that your php settings are to low. If the site is trying to run saves and the php settings are blocking it then that can create issues.

So first check that you are using php7.2 and that you have a max memory of at least 128, a max execution of 300 and a max input vars of 2000.

next, you need to check your database for errors. It’s possible your database is corrupted and needs to be repaired. You can repair a database from cpanel and while you are there you should optimize the database.

Then monitor and if this happens again take note of the time so you can check the php error logs and take note of the last thing you were doing/working on.

Hey,
If you want you can look in your minify plugin settings and see if they have an option to combine all css files. Most plugins offer this.

If you are using HTTP/2 then combining all your scripts won’t actually improve the site speed.

The theme isn’t loading from anything from https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com so that would have to be coming from one of your plugins.

That’s configured in Appearance> Widgets, in the header widget area. Then you would embed your add in a text or visual editor widget. I can give you more specific directions if you can post a link to your site.

Hi Hannah,

I’ve decided to use a sticky topbar as well as header and although your advice above still works when I scroll the topbar remains transparent where the header changes to the set color: #efefef.

How can I make the header and topbar change to the same colour after scrolling?

Website details sent previously should still work.

At this point, I would like to suggest a Woocommerce plugin that provides custom order statuses with email triggers. As part of my job, I talk to plenty of Woocommerce users and I’ve found that this feature has tremendous demand and yet there are no reliable plugins out there. In fact, every user of Woocommerce would like to be able to customise their order statuses for better customer service!

The current Kadence plugins are great but are mainly for the website’s front-end. Perhaps it’s time to work on a backend-related plugin? 😉 This plugin should also have a feature which automatically updates statuses after a specified time. For eg., The status “Shipped” should be automatically updated to “Completed” after X days.

We would definitely purchase the plugin should the Kadence team decide to work on it. Feel free to let me know if you need further clarification!

Many thanks, Ben. Your CSS reduces the height of .containerfooter from 126px down to 106px. If I continue with CSS fixes I can reduce the height still further and get a “slimline” approach!

It does mean, however that in order to build my standard footer, I am modifying in 3 places:

1. Adding code for “updated” shortcode in functions.php
2. Adding custom footer copyright text in Theme Options > Misc Settings
3. Adding CSS in styles.css

I wondered whether there is a more “elegant” (and cost-effective in terms of time!) way of setting up our standard footer?
A future goal would be to pull the footer from another repo or site and just drop the “Organisation name” in on the fly? Just dreaming!

Does facebook have any kind of limit for how big images it can display through a link to a webpage?

Facebook will show what you set in your Yoast SEO settings for the featured image for a page. It can sometimes pull images from your content but it’s not as consistent. It’s best to define what image you want to show with your page when you link to it on facebook using the yoast SEO settings.

Remember that it can take a couple days for any changes to show on facebook because they cache your site.

Hey,
Because that button is part of a form inside of an iframe embed code and not a link or even a form normally added in code it’s not something you can use your video image to link to.

Hannah was pointing out that you could make the background of the button an image but even then you can’t add css on your site that effects whats inside the Iframe.

This should be doable with some CSS. If you can find the icons that you’d like to replace the arrows with, upload them to your site via Add Media. Then, post a link to the slider and a link to the attachment pages for your icons, and I can provide the CSS.
