August 28, 2018 at 2:42 am #200132Hi,
If I use “Latest blog posts” in my Home page (in finnish), is it possible to hide it from other languages? I would only want it to show on my finnish home page. not in other languages.
My site is http://www.cool-x.fi
Thank you!
In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Move site to new host
Hi,
I’m not able to find the information I’m after. I developed a website on a test server using the Ascent theme. I now want to move the site to the production server keeping all the settings as they are.
Is this just a matter of copying all the files and database to the new server? or is there some simpler tool available that will essentially transfer the settings for one kadence theme website to another new wordpress website?
Thanks.

I am tailoring your Shopping site demo. I am trying to remove the testimonial carousel at the bottom of the Home page above the footer. Can you tell me where the carousel is inserted in the page so I can remove it?
Thanks.

August 27, 2018 at 8:59 am #200071Hey
The alignment. This sounds like you have not set the fonts in your kadence slider > fonts section. Can you make sure each select box if filled and that is saved so you see that font while editing the slider? If you can’t see that then send me a temp login to your site and I can take a look and see why the font isn’t showing in the admin.As for showing the desktop slider on mobile. If you use a caching plugin. Then you need to make sure it’s not “page caching” the home page. If you page cache the home page then it won’t run the check to see if the device is a desktop or mobile it will just show the cached version of the page.

Hi Hannah,
I’m using Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit).
The slider’s version is 2.2.7 with Virtue 4.7.6.
The website is https://www.vivalosvegans.com.
Basically, my issue is that if I just use the default “Align Horizontally Center” or “Align Vertically Center” (btw just noticed there’s a typo in vertically) it looks good when I’m configuring it, but completely off in the frontend, so I intentionally have to save it without aligning it and just go by feeling so it looks decent on the front end (but I know it’s still not aligned).
I think the issue is that the slider doesn’t show the selected font while configuring it, but instead keeps the default one, so it doesn’t center it correctly because the width and height of the font are different.
Greetings and thanks again,
Delie
In forum: Virtue ThemeI would recommend using a security plugin, even if your site is not high volume. Something like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/sucuri-scanner/

thank you for your reply.
I know I have the Language Settings in the Theme, but when I change the default one, it applies to ALL languages.
So if I change the default German “Weiterlesen” in the Polish “„czytaj więcej“ it would also appear on the Polish AND German version.As in the link I posted before (which is not from my site, just another Virtue installation from someone else), the wrong “„czytah więcej“ instead of „czytaj więcej“ seems to be a common problem.
In this installation also “czytah”:

MagdalenaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi Folks,
I am using Virtue Premium and Pinnacle Premium with the out-of-the-box contact page on a number of sites and I am starting to see a number of reports of spam emails all suggesting that the simple math item is being overridden somehow. This doesn’t appear to be site specific other than all the sites are using the theme contact form. Is this something you have come across already and if so is there a workaround?
Example of the spam…

In forum: Ascend ThemeAugust 27, 2018 at 3:57 am #200036Hi Hannah,
Following your suggestion and also the Kadence tutorial on ‘Getting Stared with Mail Chimp for Word Press’, I have created a mail chimp account and created a form for which i have the short code to place anywhere on the site. I have two questions:
1) I have used a site origin button widget that you click on to get a free PDF. I would like to link that to the mail chimp form so that potential clients are required to provide their email first before they receive the PDF. Any suggestions?
2) In the Mail Chimp form, at the moment it just says:
email address
Your email address
SIGN UPHow can I put a message – something like: RECEIVE YOUR FREE PDF! (and perhaps a few words on what it is about) – at the top, before the first line of email address?
Many thanks
PaulIn forum: Virtue ThemeAugust 26, 2018 at 11:58 am #200016Hello,
my site has two languages: German (www.magdalenastampfer.at) and Polish (www.magdalenastampfer.pl) and I have a problem with the blog post excerpts and the “read more” link. The German version “weiterlesen” is fine, but the Polish version shows “czytah dalej” (instead of “czytaj dalej” or “czytać dalej”), there’s a typo.
I can’t find where this setting for Polish is, it is not in the Polylang strings and I couldn’t find it in the theme settings.
In the theme language settings the default for “read more” in blog post excerpts in German is “Weiterlesen”. That’s OK.
If I don’t choose the default option, but fill the field with an expression, it goes through all the language versions, so I can’t do that.Actually I would just love to correct the typo in Polish 😉
Thank you,
Magdalena

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Revolution slider above Virtue Contact form
Hello Ben,
Clear about the frontpage 🙂
Perhaps is the solution about a contat form plugin the best way to build up the contactpage, but the standard contactpage of the Virtue theme is for me a very nice contactpage.
And building a site with minimum of plugings seems to me the best way 😉I’ll try firt the contact form plugin.
Thnx for your answer.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Team,
Following an earlier question, I am inserting the following code into the Theme Options > Misc Options > Footer Copyright Text.<div class="row" style="text-align:center">
<div class="col-md-4">
[copyright] [the-year]: Organisation Name. All rights reserved.
</div>
<div class="col-md-4">
This page last updated on [updated-date]
</div>
<div class="col-md-4">
Designed & built by <a href="*Login to see link target="_blank">Avalon Marketing & Website Design Ltd</a>; hosted by <a href="*Login to see link up/" target="_blank"> Rosetta Group</a>
</div>
</div><!-- row -->I’ve spotted that the output has additional paragraphs inserted. Specifically, before my code there is a <p></p> and again after my code.
Is this normal behaviour? How can I prevent it for the footer without using display:none css?
Many thanks,
Phil. -
