So I’m still struggling with a solution for this one. Using side header isn’t an option, my client just didn’t like the look at all.
As I mentioned, I created a template that uses a column to simulate a right side bar, but the problem here is that my client had already migrated 11 pages worth of her blog posts into this new site before deciding she might want this twin sidebar layout. As I understand it, she would have to update each of these posts individually using this new saved layout I’ve created which would be a substantial piece of work. Am I correct, or is there an easier way?
I’m already using a child theme on this site, so would it be possible to create a Word Press function to support 2 sidebars at once? Or is this controlled completely by the theme? I’m clutching at straws here trying to find a solution that makes my client happy but also makes sense from a workload perspective.
Thanks yet again!
Hi
Does Kadence recommend a plug in to ensure accessibility requirements are met by the site?
I have been using WP accessibility but it messes up ‘open link in a new window’.
Hey Ellen,
Please create your own topic when asking a question. You can do so by going to the bottom of this page for example: https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/forum/virtue-theme/
As for your issue I would guess it’s a server one. index.php should not be in your permalink. The only way that shows is if your wordpress site isn’t configured correctly on the server. So I think the first thing to do is fix that. Your hosting provider should be able to help you.
Hey Judy,
I’m seeing the redirect take effect. Did you figure this out?
Ben
ok, Just so you know I don’t have an issue using two attributes or three or four in other places so something in your sites settings would cause that error.
Ben
Hello!
I am using a portfolio on my website page linked below:
https://brassanchor.com/index.php/trips/
I am also using Jetpack.
Any updates to plugins – doesn’t matter which one – does something to JetPack. What happens is this: after I update plugins, the above portfolio director page does not work properly. The underlying portfolio pages are not found (“Page not found” when a portfolio item is clicked on the above-linked page).
In order to get the portfolio pages working again, I have to go into Jetpack, actually turn ON “Use Portfolio Pages” under settings, and then turn it back off.
Am I looking at a Kadence/Virtue issue, or a Jetpack issue?
Thanks for helping me.
Hi Hannah,
I think this is right….
My website is freemiums.com.
Regarding the top bar nav, can I add a logo to the top left and add menu items to the right of bar?
Can the top bar nav and primary nav respond to one another as you scroll down a page. See this site for example *Login to see link
Could you please provide me with directions on how to make the top bar nav and primary nav stick to the top of screen as you scroll down the homepage?
Thanks.
Just a quick look, you seem to have WP Accessibility installed. That would do this.
Because you shouldn’t open a new tab if you are linking within your site.
Ben
Odd, I just copied the raw html of your link to my site and the link opened in another tab. Would you be able to share a login in a private reply so that I can take a look at the content of that page to see if something is breaking it?
I do see one html tag that could be throwing things off. There is a <br /> that seems incorrect. I’m not sure if you’re adding this or it’s coming from elsewhere.

Please send me the link. Having trouble finding how to post on your site.
Hi Sarah,
Can you please start a new thread and provide a link to your site?
Thanks!
Hannah
How do I customize top bar nav with logo to the left and menu items to the right?
Also, is there any way top bar nav and primary nav can respond to each other as you scroll down a page. See this site for an example (https://www.inwk.com/).
Please provide me with the directions on how to make a top bar nav and primary nav stick to the top of a page as you scroll down. Thanks.
Hi
My site is jccmw.org
I have a lot of internal links. I’ve set most of them to ‘opn in new tab’ but it is not working.
I am using an old plug in for specific 301 redirects but don’t see how this would affect the visual editor link option.
Judy
I found out that I had to install “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” plugin. After installing and activated, the tab shows up!
Hey,
It’s possible your server just failed in the middle of uploading WordPress. Best thing is to contact your hosting provider, likely they can push live a backup or just update the site and make sure it finished. If you have some plugin breaking then they would be able to see it from the server logs.
Ben

Hey Stine,
I was able to change this text on my test site using “woocommerce” as the text domain. If you want to send login info I would be happy to check your settings. You can set as a private reply.
