I decided to give a popup form a try. The mailchimp code for the popup didn’t work, as you mentioned in another forum topic. I found a youtube tutorial that says to add to the 2nd part script jQuery.noConflict(); before the require….. See instructions at 5min video mark, *Login to see link

He said to put in after the php footer. And does not recommend to put it in the header. Where do you recommend I put it? In the Footer Output, where I currently have the MailChimp connect site code that worked there? I would like to see if the popup form will work as he suggested with the added code. What do you think?

Hi guys, loving the Ascend Theme so far. I’m trying to use the ‘Landing – no header’ option as a HOME page – i.e. this should be like a splash page that visitors see when going to http://www.example.com – they then click to ‘enter’ the website and see the usual menu & footer etc.

My issues is this: I can make the Splash page, BUT when I then assign it as the homepage, the header then appears! Help! Thanks!

As the background colour of the footer is dark (#444444), the Business name in the Vcard can’t be seen (as the text is dark too). What CSS can I use to change to text colour for the business name of a Vcard please? (I do hope that this makes sense :D)

Hey Ben, thanks for your elaborate answer and for checking out the other sites.

I built a page with pagebuilder and hero images but it becomes slow at loading. I guess hero images are not intended to be put into a grid. So I would indeed prefer to make use of the built in portfolio feature since it’s intended to do what I need and seems to load much faster.

Your linking to the virtue premium bold theme, a child theme of virtual premium. I really like the portfolio grid of this child theme: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-bold/home-portfolio/

How can I use this in my out of the box virtue premium theme? Can I download a plugin or does it require some coding?

Hey,
Have you tried deactivating plugins? (make sure you don’t have another page builder installed as that will create conflicts). You can deactivate all the plugins without causing any errors on your site.

What version of the theme are you using?

Have you contacted your hosting provider to see if they can look at your error logs?

I can test and have no issues using Beaver Builder with the theme.

Hey,
Mailchimp code doesn’t work with wordpress. They use an outdated and bad script. This has been reported but they don’t seem to care. You can see a gist here with a workaround: https://gist.github.com/nickcernis/3df74c0c6c18b75cb951

Hey,
I can’t get your site to load? Perhaps your server is blocking IP addresses? When I try to get to the login page nothing loads for me.

Can you send a screenshot?

Just to be clear if you are talking about the filter option it only filters what is no the page. It’s not a menu and can’t be used as a menu it’s just for filtering whats on the page so if you have more then one page of products you should not use the filter.

Hello, I am using the top bar icon menu and it seems that I can only have 4 icons at a time.

The theme options allow me to add a 5th icon and save, but only 4 icons show in the top bar. When I add the fifth icon, the first icon disappears from the site, but not from the list of menu items in the theme options.

Any ideas?

I need a filter in the sidebar that lets users filter by brand. I have tried all the options included in Woo commerce as well as loads of plugins but they either don’t work or don’t show what i need. I only want the filter to show the brands from products that are listed on the page, not the whole site. What i need is like what you get when you turn on the ‘Show Category Filter on Category Pages’ except i need it in the sidebar instead of at the top of the page.

I have just completed a fresh install (twice) and have used the kadence importer to upload the demo 3 site. After it uploads the slider images do not display? However if I go via the live view editor they appear?? I have wasted hours on this, driving me nuts!! Where the images should be I get “page not found”. The images exist, the database entries exist, any ideas??

There isn’t a built-in option, you can use the javascript library that runs the sticky header and adding some javascript to your site add something like this. I would need a link to your site to even get you close to what that would look like. Else you would need to look for a plugin that can add this.

The first site all the images have the text added on top before the image is even uploaded, (this makes the text resize with the image because it is just an image), see: http://www.qua.nl/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/nmenu1.jpg

That is a pretty simply grid were items drop into one column on mobile. Basically exactly like page builder would get you. What about your mobile are you wanting different?

Your second site is using a customized build of “http://gridstackjs.com/&#8221; Worth noting it’s not a WordPress site. And all images are either 1 of two different ratios. It seems like you want custom sizes for all your images? Also, that grid wouldn’t allow you to specify on a per row basis as the grid isn’t really in rows and it responsive so images are rearranged.

You might take a look at our Gallery plugin: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-bold/kadence-galleries-plugin/

The tiles would allow you to have random sized images and they are added as rows. But won’t let you select how many per row as that depends on your row height and the images ratios.

Hi Ben, thanks. I edited my question short time ago before I read your comment. I felt my question was not very clear and I’m looking for a smoother way to achieve the dynamic grid that I’m after. Would you mind having a look at my edited question? I’m looking for an elegant solution that is more responsive across all devices. I’m not sure if my grid constructed in page builder is the best option to achieve this? How do you think it’s done on the two websites I mentioned above?
