    Good day.

    Site:

    Please can you help me to make the mobile menu full width? And I would like “Choose” page to show to the left of the hamburger.

    Thanks.

    1. Custom html is a widget you can use instead of the siteorigin editor widget. It will keep your shortcodes cleaner. An example of a shortcode might look like this:

    [iconbox icon="icon-home" iconsize="48px" link="#" color="#ffffff" background="#dddddd" hcolor="#ffffff" hbackground="#aaaaaa"]
    Title
    Description

    [/iconbox]

    If you would like it might be most helpful if you send me a login to see why auto paragraph is not working.

    2. The visual editor is a widget that is installed when you install the recommended https://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/ plugin. You can see this in the appearance > getting started > recommended plugins or in the appearance > theme plugins.

    This widget is very much the same as the siteorigin editor but it doesn’t require the widget bundles plugin and we’ve found it to be more consistent.

    3. Hmm I’ll have to take a look at the settings to be able to figure it out.

    You can use [email protected]

    But it’s much easier for us to simply use a fake email and post the login details here, just make sure to check the box “Set as private reply”

    The account needs to be an administrator.

    Thanks for the follow-up and I hope I’ve been more clear, sounds like I need to see your backend and figure out whats going on.

    That’s awesome, Ben.
    I tried a setting of 400 which was quite funny but I’ve settled for 3000 which is much more sedate.

    It’s for a funeral site.

    Very many thanks,
    Phil.

    can you send me a screen shot of what you are seeing? That way I know what to look for I wasn’t seeing anything to strange while on the site.

    Hello,

    I have been doing some style changes to my contact form 7. In this styling change I have removed the default file upload button and replaced it with a “better looking” version. I am running into a problem as I want to display the names of the files below the button and having a hard time figuring this out. In my research I have come across some good information but unable to integrate this to my site. I was wondering if you can give me some guidance with this.

    Current page of Contact form 7:

    Some of the articles:

    Here is my contact form 7 setup:
    [text* your-name id:main placeholder "Your Name"]
    <div class = "layoutContactTop">
    <div id="left">
    [email* your-email id:main placeholder "Your Email"]
    </div>
    <div id="right">
    [tel Phone-Number id:main placeholder "Your Number"]
    </div>
    </div/>

    [text* your-subject id:main placeholder "Subject"]

    [textarea* your-message id:main placeholder "Your Message"]

    <div class = "layoutContactBot">
    <div id="sentbtn">
    [submit id:Send "Send"]
    </div>
    <div id="fileUpload">
    [multifile your-file limit: 6MB filetypes:doc|docx|jpg|jpeg|png|pdf|pdf id:your-file class:inputfile]
    <label for="your-file">Upload file</label>
    </div>
    </div/>

    The majority of the problems are coming with integrating the jQuery into the site as I am a little be confused to where this should go.

    Thanks
    Jim

    Hi,
    The setting “Carousel Speed” for the Testimonial Carousel widget adjusts the delay between successive testimonial items. Is there a way to modify the speed at which the items scroll across the screen?

    I’d like to adjust it to move slower for a particular site, but I can’t see how to control it.
    Thanks,
    Phil.

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks for the help but most of it is incomprehensible. Sorry to be thick but…

    1. Custom html? Where? Shortcode? Which shortcode? Where? Turn off autowrap? Won’t stay off.
    2. “Visual editor widget”? What is this and where do I find it? Can’t find such on the Internet anywhere.
    3. Gutter is already 0, rows already 0. Still get spaces between boxes.

    Happy to send you a login but I need a secure email address for the password, not this forum of course. Can’t find such on your website.
    Also, do I set you up as an Administrator, Author, Editor, which would you like?

    Regards,
    Walter

    We’ve updated all of the plugins and theme for this website and the blog featured images are still not showing up on the blog category page: Buncher Blog

    Any thoughts?

    Topic: Top bar

    #184335

    Hello,

    The website is

    I need to make some changes for top bar:

    1) Change the font type

    2) Change the font size

    3) Change the background color

    4) If possible, to move the language flags besides the search form (right side of the top bar, left or right to the search form).

    Thank you,

    Nicolae

    Hi Bernat,
    You can do this using specific CSS. If you post a link to where you’ve added this in your site I would be happy to help with that.

    Is it possible to have different colors when hovering depending on the “section”

    travel secrets: green
    travel gear: red
    new adventures: blue

    for example?

    I would like to do this in one site I am doing, any tip in the demo I could apply to my site?

    Thanks in advance

    #184293

    Anytime someone posts a site they like that is not mobile friendly it forces me to make sure you’re considering mobile. Your something like this site isn’t mobile friendly and so it begs the question what are you expecting for mobile?

    I added some css for that page (by the way you don’t need to use the landing page template to pull off what you want). So please go look ad tell me if that is what you are going for.

    1. Yes it’s autowrapping the shortcode causing it to split. Use a custom html instead of an editor for the shortcode or turn off autowrap.

    2. I don’t know why, we always suggest using the visual editor widget over siteorigins but regardless if you send me a login I can take a look.

    3. I’m not sure I totally understand but in your row settings you should just change the “gutter” to 0 it defaults to 30. You shouldn’t need any extra css. Also make sure the rows at margin 0 since that also defaults to 30 if nothing is selected.

    4. Row margin ^

    I just went to your site and the input is beside your image.

    I’m not sure why you are adding the <br> for spacing but they were beside each other. Did you clear your cache? If your on a smaller screen you will need to make the max width smaller.

    #184279

    Hey,
    You have set that page to be your “posts” page in the settings > reading of your site settings. This means it can’t have a template and doesn’t have option because you’ve set it to not use template options but run as the blog archive set up by wordpress. The only way to control the amount per page then is also in your settings > reading of your wordpress settings = “Blog pages show at most”.

    It’s worth noting that you don’t have to set a posts page and it may be a lot easier for you to manage if you just leave that blank, then in your page titled blog you select the page template “blog” and save. Then you will see the options for the blog page template.

    We are using Child theme for this site site/PLG/firms/country/argentina/ and have a custom template layout to display posts for taxonomy ‘country’.

    The problem is that the Ascend Recent Posts footer widget does not work correctly when this template loads – instead of displaying the specified 3 posts, it displays them all and in reverse date order.

    We have tried to find a workaround but there appears to be a bug and we are completely stumped.

    #184276

    Hmm, I can’t think of a good way you could do this. You basically would need the slider to be full width, full height and fixed so that if the content was larger then the screen size the slider behind your content didn’t scroll but stayed in place. Which is tricky to do and make work for mobile.

    There are some css ways I could think to pull this off but I’m still not sure it does what you want. From your screenshot your slider doesn’t seem to be set to fullwidth or full height so perhaps I can misunderstanding. Are you wanting just the top fo your page to have this slider as a background?

    any chance you can send a link to your site with your slider on it?

    Any chance you have a link to a site that is doing what you want?

    Ben
