In reply to: Problems with Transparent Header
Hi Cheeto – appreciate the response.
I’ve checked the account widget padding previously, and had that all set to 0. I reset all the settings and set it back to 0 as well, but still have the gap there.
Here’s a screenshot:
Just a quick mention, when developing I can see 0 padding, but of course on a ‘live’ version in an incognito tab at 100% scaling in chrome, this gap is clearly visible. I’ve tested it on other desktops as well.

March 31, 2023 at 8:46 am #283071Hi there,
I inspected the header and the large gap comes from the padding around the header Account widget. Here’s a video: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6qubYpvN
Kindly decrease the padding in Header Account’s design tab. Screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6qubYpG0
I hope this helps, and please let us know how we can help further.
Kind regards,
ChitoIn forum: Ascend ThemeVery strange that the SNIP layouts are not showing for you.
Towards the end of the video, at the bottom… Enable more widgets in the Widgets Bundle settings, you may have to click that to activate the layouts. I’m not sure.
The following is installed in my WordPress site…
1. Ascend-Premium by Kadence WP 1.9.25
2. Page Builder by SiteOrigin 2.20.6
3. SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.47.0The important thing is it’s fixed and we are good to go.
Thanks again. In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Problems with Transparent Header
March 30, 2023 at 8:19 pm #283058Hi Matt,
You mentioned that you already adjusted all padding to the smallest settings. Are you referring to the paddings in the Customizing ▸ Header > Row > Design Settings?
Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/geuEARlr
The widgets also have padding settings that will have an effect on the spacing of the headers. Have you also tried to adjust the padding of the widgets in your header?
Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Apuv9X8b
If this doesn’t work, can you send us the link to your website so we can inspect the elements and style on your website?
Please let us know, and we’ll be more than happy to help.
Best regards,
Teejay.In forum: Kadence ThemeHello
When I add a latest posts widget to the sidebar, the preview list shows sitewide link styling – red with an underline, but the live site shows them as black without an underline, but they are still links and change to red when rolled over (not the same as the sitewide yellow rollover). I want to style the widget list to show these as (for example) red underlined links to make it clearer where to click, particularly on a mobile where the roll over doesn’t work the same
I think it is class=”wp-block-latest-posts__post-title” and I have added .wp-block-latest-posts__post-title a { color: Red;} to the custom css to see if it has any effect but there is no change
Can anyone help – I’m using the native Kadence Theme?
Thanks
ClaireIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Sticky sidebar in Kadence Theme?
March 29, 2023 at 1:49 am #283008Yes you can create sticky sidebar in Kadence theme.
You have to follow this: Go to Kadence Theme Customizer>Locate sidebar setting in General tab>Turn ON sticky sidebar. You can also enable last widget as sticky. The setting for that is just under sticky sidebar setting.
I hope it will solve your query.
In forum: Ascend ThemeEze,
Almost forgot, here is the link to the SiteOrigin Page Builder Widget…
https://siteorigin.com/widgets-bundle/anything-carousel-widget/
In forum: Ascend ThemeEze,
Layouts > Prebuilt Layouts > “Theme Defined Layouts”
Based on the wording “Theme Defined Layouts”, I would assume this is a Pre-Built Kadence Page Builder Layout. I spoke with the SiteOrigin help and they are convinced it’s a custom pre-build.
They suggested looking at their widget titled “Anything Carousel”, it has an option to change just about everything… even the color of the navigation dots a.k.a. “slick-dots”.
A suggestion: This feature needs added to the pre-built layout options, that would be awesome.
In forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 24, 2023 at 10:21 am #282939Hi there,
Thanks for writing.
Put the logo in the center column of your header row, and the Primary and Secondary Navigation widgets in the adjacent columns. Here’s a screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuAeZeq
That displays the logo in the center regardless of the length of the menu items.
Please let me know if I misunderstood your query, and I’d be glad to help further.
Kind regards,
ChitoIn forum: Ascend ThemeEze,
Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately, the CSS code you provided did not change the color of the dots. I have messaged SiteOrigin (The Page Builder Plugin author) via their free-support-form and they replied with the following…
“The SNIP: Client Carousel sounds like it’s a third-party widget added by another plugin or perhaps your theme.”
I have added two new images to explain where I found the “SNIP: Client Carousel” pre-built layout.
Let me know if you have any questions.Currently, I’m using Ascend Premium Theme 1.9.25 with Page Builder by SiteOrigin 2.20.5.
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Show both sidebars
Hi,
thanks. I’m familiar with the sidebar widget.
For a second sidebar (and a layout sidebar – content – sidebar) I find reusable blocks and creating a row layout not acceptable. It messes up the editor, it will confuse useres, they should be able to edit content there only, not having the sidebar aside. The template element – how would i place that to behave as a second sidebar? I see I can replace the primary sidebar, but that is not what I want.
Thank you!
Also – is genuine support for a two sidebar layout planned anytime soon?

March 23, 2023 at 4:56 am #282897Hi Ben,
You don’t have to rebuild the default sidebar from WordPress on every page. You can customize it in Appearance > Widgets. Then select the sidebar to apply it globally on pages in Customizer > Posts/Pages Layout > Page Layout >
Page Default Sidebar. You can also override that global settings for individual pages in the page settings. Here’s a quick video: https://share.getcloudapp.com/eDurwg6BFor the Row Layout block, you can make it a reusable block, which is a function from WordPress as well.
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/reusable-block/You can also create an element template using Hooked Element. Here’s a guide: https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/introducing-kadence-elements-templates-design-your-site-your-way/
Note that the element template only reflects on the frontend.
I hope this helps, and please let us know how we can assist further.
Kind regards,
ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 22, 2023 at 10:05 am #282860Hi all,
I’m trying to add a currency switcher block (further down the page here: *Login to see link to my site that uses the Kadence Theme: *Login to see link
Specifically, I’d either like the currency switcher to be below the price, or in the top bar of the site
Kadence doesn’t support header widgets (although Pro version does), and I’m not aware of a way that I can add a widget/block to the product description section?
I’ve tried other beginner mistakes like trying to put the code snippet into a HTML section in the top bar (which obviously didn’t work), using CodeSnippet to add a header widget section (which seems beyond my technical knowhow to customise!), etc.
What’s the best way to do this?
There must be a way I can add this widget/block in somehow, just haven’t found the answer yet!
Thanks

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Widgets should be enabled only on the homepage
Hi @walexjalper787,
I understand you would like to add a custom widget enabled at kadence_after_header that only shows on your homepage.
We noticed that the website you provided uses the Hello Elementor Theme. Can you please confirm if you sent us the correct website URL?
Upon clicking your blog posts via the website you share, I can only see your post content right after your header, and no widget was displayed after the header. Can you confirm this?
On the other hand, if you are using the Kadence Theme on one of your websites, to ensure that a custom widget shows only on a homepage using Hooked Elements, kindly do the following:
– Set the Element Placement to After Header
– Change the Show On under Display Settings to “Single Pages”
– Select “Individually” for SELECT PAGE BY:
– Click “Select Items” and select your website homepageSee screenshot showing the above actions:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/geuEzqr7This will ensure that the widget is only displayed on your website homepage after the header.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or clarifications.
Cheers,

In forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 16, 2023 at 6:59 pm #282767I want to put a slider in the Top Row of the Header, but it seems to be constrained to whatever column I put it in. Can the row be adjusted, using CSS (?) to be full width or can you tell me how to make a full-width slider in the header row? I’ve tried it as a widget by itself, or placed the slider in a row layout. Neither span the full width of the header area.
Many thanks in advance,
BarbaraIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Can’t add images to a slider
Hi @jrc-6120
I understand that you are unable to add images to a slider.
First, could you kindly share how you are creating this slider?
I have replicated this issue using Virtue theme v3.4.7 and SiteOrigin Slider Widgets, and I was able to add all the images to my sliders.
I will recommend that you install the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin and use the slider widget, which is compatible with the Virtue Theme. With this, you can create a simple, easy-to-use slider with support for image layering and even videos.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or clarifications.
Cheers,

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: The widget should only be enabled on the homepage
March 10, 2023 at 4:17 pm #282650If the widget is appearing on every page near the top or main menu, it is because that particular widget is INSIDE the header somehow. If I am understanding correctly, you only want it on the home page, this means it must be in the BODY of the page only and not in the header or footer. Solution would be to remove it from the header, then insert it into the page body only on the home page. Hope this helps a little bit.
