    Hi Hannah, sorry I’ve managed to fix it. I’m trying to edit my static homepage on Page Builder but I don’t know if it’s possible. When I try to add rows or widgets nothing changes on the home screen. Is it possible to change a Kadence Premium homepage with Page builder or Elementor?

    #195741

    Does that mean I need to remove the code used for the side widget? Or keep it. And do the popup using this plugin?

    https://redceltstone.com/blog/

    Also, does it allow for the subscribe popup and side widget to integrate with Mailchimp RSS campaign for posts being auto published?

    Hi, I am in the middle of building a new site for someone and I am getting a big gap between rows using Page Builder.

    I have been into Settings > Page Builder and set the Row/Widget Bottom Margin to 0. I have made sure it is 0 in the Layout of the rows but still a big gap.

    The link where I am referring to is here:

    Is there any CSS I can add?

    Many thanks in advance.
    Sam

    #195493

    OK thank, Ben. That takes the “unknown” element out of it!

    I’ll delete the additional widgets in “live” and take it from there.
    Thanks for your help,
    Phil.

    #195492

    I updated the theme there and don’t see any widget issue.

    #195480

    No you can remove the widgets. If you want to send me a login to the dev site and let me update it I can watch to see what happens.

    Hi Ben,

    I agree its a weird one but thanks for the reassurance.

    The added widgets are:

    1. Custom Menu Wizard
    2. Site Origin Button
    3. Mailchimp Sign-up Form
    4. Recent Posts

    This group doesn’t correspond to any particular sidebar and appear to have been selected at random – unless there is some other selection mechanism going on.

    I like Helen’s suggestion of deleting the additional widgets. Do you need access to have a look before I do that?
    Phil.

    I can’t think of any way that a theme update would add or remove sidebar widgets. What widget was added?

    #195443

    Hi Kevin, thanks for this. I actually only want the boxes to be affected on this page :D. Because the next 4 Info Boxes I add are going to be within a different row, I’ll just want them to be the same size as each other (hope that makes sense) as they’ll be larger than the info boxes on this row.
    Would giving the info boxes a css id (in the attribute area of the widget) make it easier to control? So the ones in this could be something like home-links-small and the ones in the next row be home-links-big. Then change the css to reflect this?
    Again, I hope that makes sense and many thanks again

    Hi Phil,
    You should be able to remove the widgets from your sidebar from Appearance > Widgets. Does this work for you?

    Hi team,

    I just upgraded a live site to Kadence Virtue 4.6.7 and I spotted additional copies of widgets appearing in the sidebars. If I compare with the Dev site, (which has not been upgraded), the sidebars look correct.

    I wondered if the theme upgrade or something else entirely is responsible?

    Many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hey,
    Looks like you’re using the share daddy plugin that is enabling the share in your posts.
    For your footer, you can edit/remove the share widget from your footer column from Appearance > Widgets.

    1. If you want me to set up woocommerce taxes for you then I would need a login, you can check the box for Set as private reply.

    2. You can use our icons, see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/add-icons-to-your-menu/ In ascend just use the icon box to add the icon class.

    If you want to use a different icon font then what comes with the theme here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/icons you will have to install it using a plugin.

    3a. You can add this css:

    .col-md-12.portfolio-project {
        min-height: 0;
        margin: 0;
    }

    3b. That isn’t an option with the products widget. You can, however, use a shortcode from woocommerce to add a grid of products sorted by a category, see here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

    3c. ^ again you would need to use a shortcode not that widget.

    Hello Ben,

    1. How could we troubleshoot the tax situation together? Is there a safe way to provide site credentials in order to solve the tax configuration?

    2. I would like to add custom icons to our menu. Let’s say I would like to add “Font awesome” icons over the menu links. Like in the menu button where it says “SELECT” I would like to add the following icon: https://fontawesome.com/icons/wine-glass-alt?style=solid . As well as in the https://winenext.com/producers/ the Martini icon would be the Font Awesome wine glass icon.

    3. URL: https://winenext.com/portfolio/cast-wines/ . How do I get rid of the margin between the parallax image and the header? How do I make the product widget only show CAST WINE product previews in the right column. How to make the Cast Wines Thumbnail bigger? Let’s say we want to cover the whole gap space.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi folks,

    I enabled the Testimonials Caroussel widget on my homepage on . I do see the English testimonials but I don’t see them when I watch the Dutch translation. I’m using the Polylang plugin for multilingual. I have ‘the widget is displayed for all languages’. Please advice.

    This will add a divider:

    .nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a {
        border-right: 1px solid #eee;
    }
    li.menu-item.menu-item-type-post_type.menu-item-object-page.menu-item-474 a {
        border-right: none;
    }

    From Theme Options > Header Settings try dragging your first widget area to the top of the list. Does that fix?

    Thanks Hannah. is there any way for the menu tabs to have a separator in between? they are too close. also, i did the settings with extras on each side of logo, added header extras widget areas and header extras widget second but everything just goes to the right side

    You can add a background color with this css:

    .nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a {
        background: #eee;
    }

    In Theme Options > Header Settings you can choose the layout with extras on either side of the logo, then add a widget area to both. Would that work for you?

    Hello,

    I received this email from wistis:

    “Pls try pasting the following code into your <head> section for each page where a Wistia video exists. I assume your theme allows this.”

    I know there is a general option for “head” somewhere on theme options, but how can I do that only for the pages that contain wistia videos?

    Also, one of the videos is on my home page, that is not exactly a page, but a list with “latest blog articles”. The video is on the “home page widget area”, above the blogs list.

    So, my question is: where should I paste the code that is supposed to be in the head of the page, including the home page.
