Hi everyone,

I am using a Text Widget in my footer to insert an email address.

There is no “Design” option in widgets.

There are no anchors in there however,
I think it was/is the Soundcloud at the bottom of page ( Home Widget). They have a sound that auto plays and I had my browser setting to block audio.
Once I change that setting (Firefox) it does not jump to that section. It was looking like it was jumping to “Latest Post” but…
AND once I change the browser setting to block audio again it goes back to jumping down the page.

I’ve got a HTML widget in the footer with an <a class="button"> element. The problem is that the CSS for .site-footer .site-top-footer-wrap .site-footer-row-container-inner a is overriding the css for .button, so my button’s text color is wrong — it is the color set by --global-palette1 instead of the color set by --global-palette-btn. I can correct this with custom CSS, but I don’t think I should need to — this seems like an error in the theme’s CSS that should be fixed. Is there something I’m missing?

Hey Janek,
Sorry for the delay! The shortode is not actually css. It is actually what outputs your blog posts so it would eliminate the need to enable latest blog posts. You can paste it into a text widget in your home widget area, or in your static homepage. Let me know if you need further assistance with this.

Hi Hannah, Thanks for the tip. I did have my home page set as latest posts in Settings/Your homepage displays, but changed to the theme Home Layout and enabled the latest blog posts widget. This allows a max of 18 blogs and 3 cols (I would prefer 4 cols but 18 does not divide by 4)
I gave that a try and inserted that shortcode into the theme Custom CSS but did not seem to make any difference even when I went incognito with Chrome. Am I doing something wrong? I can give you a login if you want to see as the site is “under construction” at the moment. Thanks, Janek

Hi team,

I’m using an accordion widget on this page

The problem is that I want the panel titles in white font (because there’s a dark blue background) but I’m not succeeding to achieve that.
I noticed that the panel title is set to use H5, but if I set all H5 to white, that is not what I want. I use the accordion widget on other pages that have black font. So I basically only want this particular widget to have all font in white.
When I select the accordion code to be white, the panel title remains black.

Can you advise on how to achieve this?

I’m having a problem with certain widgets. It started with site origin button widget, and I saw on the site origin thread that some themes ahev problems with the button widget. So I switched to the Shortcodes Ultimate plug in and I’m having the same problem. I can set it up, but when I try to edit the widget I get a blank screen with the date. (image attached)

Now I’m having the same problem with the custom html widget.

Can we not simply use “Toggle Widget Area” on both mobile and desktop headers?! Surely I am missing something. “Toggle Widget Area” and “Widget Area” both are removed when I switch to mobile header.

Hi Hannah,

The problems started when I added the Widget for the Social-Media-Icons in the footer. Before everything was fine. Deleting the Widget didn’t solve the problem.

I tried to fix the issue by adding a fixed height in the Slider settings in order to suppress the stretching. But this didn’t solve the problem. But after deleting again the fixed height for the Sliders it somehow came back to normal!

So the problem is fixed!

Hey,
The header modal is not like a custom html widget, you can compare it with the text widget, it uses the tinymce modal and allows for some HTML but it’s more about making it easy to add text content then raw HTML like the custom HTML widget.

It’s the tinymce engine that will strip svgs and that is not a bug it’s intentional based on how it’s designed to work.

Hey,
I’m following up here since it seems emails are not getting to you and I want to try can get the right information to you in some way.

You can’t add videos into a column as a plan video widget, you have to make sure when you add them you add them to be responsive.

So using virtue premium you can use the visual editor widget, then use the youtube shortcode generator to add a youtube video and that will be responsive meaning it will be forced into its a column.

click “virtue shortcodes” in the widget and then choose video and then add your video URL.

Please note if you were rebuilding your page in the block editor (default for the past two years) this would be different but since your screenshot shows the site origin panels I’m trying to give you the correct directions for site origin.

If this is not clear I would be more than happy to add your videos into three rows.

Hi Kadence, I am updating my website and I noticed the Virtue Social Widget is not working properly. I added my links and the first icon is ok but it is not showing any other icon (youtube and Pinterest). I am also having the same issue with the icons on my top bar. What should I do? I don’t want to add another plugin since this is a feature of the theme.

I also tried to use the icons on the HOME LAYOUT and it is not working.

I have added “Divider 2” widget to my off canvas menu in Customizer. No matter what settings I give it and no matter where I order it in the Off Canvas widget list, it does not display and I cant see any styles for it on frontend.
