Thank you Hannah.
I purchased your membership bundle and also the site Origin pro bundle as it looked like a good alternative to Elementor when using other plugins. (My site requires Pano2VR and other content plugins that I want to use with content sliders and some woocommerce features). I am happy that Siteorigins pro bundle installs 1 extra plugin and I can activate/deactivate the any of extra widgets as required. The Kadence membership has 16 extra plugins. Obviously I cannot install all those and keep my admin area happy with less than 20 plugins. It would be much better if your membership plan installed like Siteorigin’s with the option to activate/deactivate as required. This also makes things easier across multiple sites. In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Virtue: Recent Posts

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Home widget area
Hello!
I would like to enable, and use, the “home widget area” on the home layout. I would like to place it at the bottom of the home layout, above the footer. But the spacing between my enabled “latest blog posts” down to the “home widget area” is too far. It is too much spacing between them. Is there a way to decrease this spacing?
Here you can see where I would like to put it:
As it is right now the “home widget area” is disabled due to the live version of this site. But hopefully you understand what I mean?
Thank you a lot!

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Need to adjust line height and text size in footer
Hi Jeff,
1. This css should do it for you:.footercredits { line-height: 18px; font-size: 15px; }You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS.
2. That’s your footer container, and the bottom is your footer base. You can add widgets to the footer container from Appearance > Widgets.
Or you can remove the padding with this css:footer#containerfooter { padding-top: 0; }Hope that’s helpful!

Hello,
So the old way of page builders did add a bunch of code that may or may not slow down the site. Kadence themes are focused on speed and we provide blocks/widgets for site builders to help optimize the code produced by the site builder. SiteOrigin or Elementor will work well with Virtue. Really the future of WordPress is blocks and Gutenberg. This is what the new Kadence Theme is built focusing on. That’s going to provide you the cleanest, fastest results. You can still use a page builder, but our developer is trying to get the most out of WordPress core by utilizing tools and items that are already provided.
Let me know if that answers your questions or if you need anything else.
Thanks!
Chris

August 31, 2020 at 11:34 am #256087Hi Ben,
What’s confusing in the current Virtue tutorial is having instructions on using theme tools AND a page builder. Do I need to use both or one or the other? I often hear from developers I talk with that page builders put in a lot of gobbledy-goop code. I would like to work in a clean and efficient way and am more focused on usability and accessibility than flashy features or making something look perfect. Designing a page looks so easy to do using page builder, but am I building something I can troubleshoot easily? Can I hand it over to a back-end person to fix more complicated things without having to pay a lot for them to fix messy code?
My goal in using your product is to make functional sites that are clean and beautiful and relay the right message. I’d like to work with programmers and back-end experts and not hand them over anything with crazy code.
At this moment I’m trying to figure out how to put a mosaic gallery at the bottom of the current website I’m working on. I don’t always understand how to populate the widgets I’m assigning to my home page.
Long story shorter (lol) how do I work with gallery widgets? Are they posts? Sorry to be so vague about what I need in a tutorial.
I love your themes and tools. They’re elegant and I can see you also care about usability and accessibility. Thanks so much for asking for feedback. Hope this isn’t too confusing.
AngelaIn forum: Membership ForumsHi,
Since default paragraph block has limited option (font size and color) it would be great to have a paragraph block which allows to change font, weight, line height and other stuff like heading block does. Or maybe there is a way to add one more option to heading block which allows it to show not as a heading but as a paragraph? For example H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, pElementor heading widget also has this option.
What do you think of this idea? 🙂

So I found the siteorigin post carousel widget, thank you. But I cannot figure out how to get the post text to display in the carousel. I know this is a siteorigin question, and I am waiting for some feedback.
Or was another post carousel that you were referring to…?
Thank you,

August 28, 2020 at 10:10 am #255960Hi there!
I have walked through the steps discussed here but the icons themselves are still not showing up on my page. Even in the active widget.
Please help,
CassieIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Not Secure message for Home page
Hey Ben,
Thanks. I did run the BSR plugin, always do after a site launch/relaunch but there are instances where it doesn’t catch things – this is a good example. Others are any type of slider plugin, and Kadence widgets seem to get ignored as a general rule (split content, flip boxes, etc) and I usually need to manually go into any page and re-select the images to make them appear properly.
I re-ran BSR again and it caught the title settings instance this second time, so maybe I just need to run it more than once? Though I’m still getting the mixed content notification, and I purged the cache in wordpress and cleared it in Chrome, which is the only browser still causing an issue. Any other thoughts?
Thanks!

Hello,
Creating an image map is rather extensive as shown here https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images_imagemap.asp, but you would likely be able to achieve this by adding a row with a Custom HTML widget inside of it.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: multiple links on a single image
Hi Chris,
After doing some additional research, I am coming to the conclusion that I need to use an image map. So what I am looking for is if Pinnacle has an image map editor or, alternatively, how to use image maps HTML code in a Pinnacle widget.
This is a page I found that explains how to create image maps and will give you a good idea of what I am after https://onextrapixel.com/how-to-create-multiple-links-on-a-single-image-with-image-map/thank you,

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Text in top bar, and making it sticky?
Hello,
So that widget area just needs to be made to fit both of those items in a single line. This can be done like so with custom css:
.kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-widget-area.kad-topbar-item-right { display: flex; }To align the text properly with the button, you can add this right after the CSS above:
.kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-widget-area .textwidget p { line-height: 40px; padding-right: 10px; }Let me know if that works out for you or if you need anything else.
Thanks!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
It looks like the following plugins are having issues causing this error after WordPress upgraded to 5.5.
single-latest-posts-lite
ad-widget
They are breaking due to jquery not being updated. So you can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ to help with the upgrading of jquery. Otherwise, you would need to disable those plugins in question.
In order to get the page to show encrypted, you would need to update the items you have loading in your widgets to be secure. You can change them individually, or you can use a tool like https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/ to replace any HTTP:// URL to be https://.
If you need anything else, please let us know!
