So you’re not wanting a menu in your header at all, is that correct? In that case, you can remove the css you are using to enable the mobile menu. Then once you have added the widget area I can help with css to move it to the left of the logo.
The header widget area cannot be enabled via css. You would need to enable it from Theme Options > Main Settings then add widgets from Appearance > Widgets.
    Hope that’s helpful!

Hi! For the search bar that I have in my navigation, or in the footer, if I don’t add anything and just push enter, it shows a list of my latest pages. Some of these pages are client portals, they are password protected but I would rather not have them be shown. I use Yoast SEO to block it from Google, but how do I block these pages from my own search widget?
    Thanks!

    Hi Hannah,

    Thanks for your reply.

I guess I would try with option 1. To hide the hamburger menu, enable the widget area and move the widget to the left of the logo. I guess the header widget can be enabled via css too?

If you have some code snippets for option 1 ready out of your head, please let me know.

    Kind Regards,
    Rainer

    Hi Rainer,

    1. You can hide the hamburger menu by readjusting your css then enable the header widget area from Theme Options > Main Settings. Then you would just need more css to align the widget area left. Let me know if you need help with that!

    2. Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re asking. What difference do you mean between hamburger menu and mobile menu? They are one and the same. Unless you’re wanting different menu items in one vs the other? Sorry for misunderstanding.

    3. There is only an option for one header widget area. But you can add multiple widgets to the same area.

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hi Ben:
I finally figured out that this was an issue with the SiteOrigin pagebuilder and found these instructions. https://siteorigin.com/custom-css-guide-page-builder-row-cell-widget-attributes/ Generally, these instructions worked for me except when trying to change the line-height in the subtitle area of the Kadence Call to Action widget. Attached is an example. You can see the live page at https://www.symboc.com/web-services-2/ What I want to do is change the subtitle line-height to 1.5. Thanks

I am interested in styling my widgets using the Widget Styles/Attributes feature which appears in every widget but the function is not intuitive and I have never been able to figure it out. I have attached an image to show what I am talking about. I have searched the forums for instructions and found nothing. Can you direct me to the necessary instructions?

    Hi Chris and Hannah.
    Many thanks for your assistance.
As I was adding a row, in which to place Woo Widgets, my expectation was to enter content from my side so now it makes sense when you say these fields get populated a little further on in the journey of things.

    Cheers again

    Hi Declan,
Looks like you’re using the Kadence WooCommerce Siteorigin Builder plugin. Those widgets are not meant to have options as they will pull from the product being displayed and will vary product to product. Does that make sense? Have you tried enabling your template for a product and viewing? Let me know if you would like more clarification on this!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hello,

Looking further, that just looks to be for the template layout of the single product pages that can be applied to select or all products. Those widgets get populated by the WooCommerce shop when you enter the product details and select the template from the drop-down template selector when creating products in Woo itself.

Let me know if this answers your questions.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Are you creating custom widgets or which widgets are you using? I’m not currently able to replicate the error you are facing.

    Thanks!

    Hi Andrew,
The following plugin allows you to create reusable blocks and add them into any widget area: https://wordpress.org/plugins/reusable-blocks-extended/
    Hope it helps!

In reply to: Category Filter link?

    #254572

    Hi Destin,
Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in function for this. You can, of course, link to a specific category page. But there isn’t a way to enable the category filter when doing so. A workaround would be to add a sidebar to your product category page and enable a product category widget. Or you could use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-ajax-filters/
    Hope that helps!

    Hi there Kadence,

I purchased the Ascend theme in June fo this year.
What am I doing wrong – I have placed 6 Widgets into a Sample Product page when I click on them I get;“There are no options for this widget.”See screen shot attached.
I note that before posting anything in forums I should search for my topic and I get that. But I could spend days reading other peoples issues and never find a relevant paragraph to my trouble. I guess thats neither here nor there.

    Hi,
we are creating a new website where we put in a elementor text editor widget this woocommerce shortcode:
    [products limit=”4″ columns=”4″ orderby=”id” order=”DESC” visibility=”visible”]

PD: elementor, after paste the text shortcode, recognize the shortcode and apply the elementos way to config it showing the usual right toolbar as in the following image ….

but the result is like the image, I mean, only 3 columns…even if in the elementor setting we have 4 cols in 2 rows…

    can you help me please?
    thanks

    #254511

Is it possible to add a small contact form to the sidebar as a widget? I’ve almost left Elementor Pro completely for Kadence and this appears to be my last hurdle 😉
