I am trying to arrange the footer on the virtue theme but it does not stack as indicated in theme options & customization.

The highlight is the layout I want but the widgets just seem to stack on top of one another.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey,
Hannah is referring to the normal core “block” editor.

There is a widget in the ascend premium theme “ascend: carousel” that can output a carousel for featured products or best selling and let you select product categories. You can use that in siteorigin.

If you manually create templates you have to add the sizecart into the template which can be done using the sizechart shortcode and an elementor text widget.

Hey,
That is default margin ouput from page builder. You can use this css to hide it for that row:

.panel-widget-style.panel-widget-style-for-29805-0-0-0 {
    margin-top: -10px;
}

You can add a search from Customize > Header. Just drag and drop a search where you’re wanting it.

Cool. I got the left side widgets, I didnt know where to find them… Now, I want to create a product page for one product category (grid type layout with a filter on top like image above) What is the best way to do that? I have the kadence elementor plugins, but the instructions I found on the support page are very general and confusing.

I tried the widget dock, but i dont think its suitable for what i need, as i need it to grey out the background content and you need to click that little x to close it.

I ended up going with the mailchimp popup, but not 100% happy with that either as i cant match the font with my website. Can you help me with that or do i need to go to mailchimp?

So I’ve noticed that the blog post layout gives the option to turn on the related posts “widget” at the end of the post. Is there a way to style it?

For example, how can I make it to show only three related posts butt not in a carrousel mode? How can I make the images smaller, style the text, turn off the author and date? And how can I replace the “Similar Posts” text? In a way, I’m trying to recreate or have something similar to the image below.

Also, I noticed that it is not showing up on a few posts that do have related posts and are coming up on the other related posts plugin I currently have installed. Is there a way to adjust the “sensitivity” of the related picks?

Hi Chris,
Are you referring specifically to the sidebar? That’s created using the Product Categories widget, followed by the Filter Products by Price widget and then the Filter Products by Attribute widget. Then the Recent Product Reviews widget and the Recently Viewed Products widget. Do you see these in Appearance > Widgets?

Looks like I can use AddToAny. They include those networks in the share widget and allow custom networks to be added to the follow widget via a filter.

So, what I think you are saying is, with Kadence blocks (which I have never used) I can do this:

(Slider)
Page Content
– Icon Menu
– Home Widget Area (for testimonials)
– Latest Blog Posts with sticky post

And I would have more freedom to customize the items on the home page I gather?

Hey,

If you want elementor to control the archive for your blog then you do that through the theme builder in elementor pro. (looks like you already set that up) you just need to assign that page as your “latest posts” page in the settings reading.

Otherwise if you don’t assign that page and it’s just a static page you can edit it in elementor and add a post grid widget but it won’t give you the same pagination controls.

Thanks for your patience! I checked out the site and found that thrive was setting the global hook_suffix for the admin page to equal widgets.php in their builder. This was creating the issue, however no worries I’ve created a workaround.

I can push an update out this week or you can send me a login to your other site and I can change the one file that needs to be edited.
