Hi
I’ve been asked to have a hamburger menu only on this site, and I found a post to fix that, but I can’t figure how to position it on the right.
Also, is there some code so, on wider screens, the CTA in the header widget sits centred vertically?
Thanks…In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Upsell and Cross sell
May 28, 2020 at 3:11 pm #250389There isn’t a way to change this without really hacking into woocommerce, You can turn off tags from effecting the related products by using this code:
add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_related_posts_relate_by_tag', '__return_false' );But if you want to override the query to only pull from a specific category you might be better to add a carousel with just that category in the above footer widget area.
I suggest you might want to try out a plugin like: https://woocommerce.com/products/product-recommendations/
I’ve not used it but if you are wanting to control this more on a global level that might work for you.

May 28, 2020 at 1:45 pm #250377Hey,
Thanks for the note about the widget titles, I’ll fix that css priority issue. The spacing above the footer is your Content Top and Bottom Spacing, you can turn this on an off in your settings and in pages. (there are cases where you would want your content to touch the footer).
You could do a workaround by adding an empty widget area in the top row.

Sorry, I can’t seem to find the setting for margin before the top border of the footer area? Is there such a setting or should I add it by css?
Also, the settings for the widget-title does not work for me? It looks good in the customizer but not when viewing the site.
Thanks,
BenA

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi there, I hope you’re all healthy and well!
Quick q about hiding one category from a sidebar on this site – *Login to see link The category ‘TruePOS’ has been created for certain customers only – there’s a direct link to that category’s page shared only with those customers, but of course the category still appears in the category list widget in the sidebar. The category id is 239; can the category be hidden with a line of targetted CSS code?
Thanks very much!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHey John,
I’m not sure why the update would have affected this.
1. Try adding this to your css:.siteorigin-panels-stretch.kt-parallax-stellar.kt-panel-row-stretch.panel-widget-style.panel-row-style.panel-row-style-for-229-0 { background-repeat: no-repeat; }2. In your page builder row is the Row Layout set to Full Width Stretched?

You can use this css to make the image not repeat:
.home .siteorigin-panels-stretch.kt-parallax-stellar.kt-panel-row-stretch.panel-widget-style.panel-row-style { background-repeat: no-repeat; }To make it taller you can add top and bottom padding to your page builder row from the edit row settings.
Hope that helps!Hannah

May 26, 2020 at 12:49 pm #2502233. Just to clarify, It’s not a “Kadence customizer” button, the customizer button is part of WordPress core and even if a theme has no customizer options that would show in your admin menu. I use wp rocket and I don’t have an issue with the customizer button not showing. So I wonder if it’s a conflict with a third plugin?
I’ll take a look at that, you just using a text widget?
Nice speed results!

May 25, 2020 at 1:45 pm #250140Hi Hannah,
I have it as Gallery Post default.
Hannah, When I originally created the post, I used the pre-built -layout (from library) and those 2 images were at the top of the page. I don’t know what I did wrong afterward. So I never added a widget or code, it was a layout that is why I don’t know where to get the code. https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/ngala-safari-lodge-dinokeng-resort/
this is the Layout I’ve used: https://layouts.siteorigin.com/layout/charity-home/

1. In your post edit page under Post Options what do you have the “Post Summary” set to?
2.&3. The site origin slider is a widget. To display a slider via shortcode you need to create a Kadence Slider. Then see my instructions from above: “In your post edit page under Post Title and Subtitle add your Kadence Slider shortcode to the Override and use a Shortcode Slider tab. Then make sure the page title and transparent header are both turned on.”

i put a simple H2 and your shortcode [blog_posts type=”photo” orderby=”date” cat=”proyectos”] but as you can see from this image the result is not correct… if i delete that shortcode and i put the page template as blog… all works correctly …. so i think there is a problem with the elementor widgets…PS: i cannot put the template because i need to put the bacground color of the page…
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Hannah,
I would like to use one of my custom sidebars for category pages. It is called “chant sidebar”, and appears on my blog posts as well. But when I go to Theme Options>Blog Options, I find that I am only allowed to choose from the Virtue theme default sidebars, namely “Primary, sidebar, Home Widget Area, and the footers.” I don’t want any of these. How do I choose a different sidebar for the category pages?
Your comments were very useful, directing me to how many posts appear and how long the text will be. Thank you.
