    Hi Ben,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I am still very much a wordpress newbie!

I used the Pinnacle shortcodes and created three columns. Within the columns I inserted short codes from “Custom Menu Wizard plugin widget”. The Custom Menu Wizard is pulling the product category from three menus I have created for this purpose. This way I do not have to copy and paste url’s / links.

    The Question I have now:
The styling is coming from the Pinnacle theme so how can I increase the font size for the data within the “home widget area”. It is currently 14px and I would like to increase it to 16px. I am sure there is a custom css but I have not gained that knowledge yet.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Ben and Pinnacle support team! I wa s a Virtue user and now I am with Pinnacle and happy so far with it. Here is a link to the site I am doing:
Header question: As you can see, when one scrolls down, the logo and its area height shrinks; which is what I want in the desktop and mobile versions. The inconvenient I am having is on the mobile where the logo does not shrinks and it’s way too big (just on the mobile version, the desktop version is fine). Could you assist me on how to make the mobile version logo to be smaller? or shrinks when the user swipe down or scroll down as in the desktop version? could you please assist me with this?
Footer question: I need to have the title of the widgets of the footer without the underline, I tried modifying the CSS to text-decoration:none; but maybe I am using the wrong class, but I can’t find a way to do it. Is there a tool within the website where I can disable the underline of the titles? Many thanks for your help and I look forward to your response.
    Best Regards,
    Gustavo.

I am using Pinnacle Premium 1.2.8

I don’t believe the theme has the feature I am looking for but just in case I overlooked it I thought I would ask. I am wanting to create a text-link catalog of my woocommerce product categories. I was hoping to add a widget to the “home widget area” that would accomplish this. I believe I would need three or four columns. Please let me know if the theme has a widget that could accomplish this.

    Thank you,

    Randy

    Hey Doris,
In Theme Options > Topbar Settings turn on the Enable widget area in right of Topbar. Then also turn on the Topbar Layout Switch. Then go to appearance > widgets and add a visual editor widget or whatever to the topbar widget area.

    Hey Hannah –
just a quick follow up FYI. Turns out that the text widget that I had in free version Footer 1 section was moved to a new Widget area called “Home Widget Area” and the free Footer 2 moved to Footer 1, free footer 3 moved to Footer 2, etc..

Quick fix to move them back but just so you and others know that this might happen when going from Free to Premium.

In the theme options > topbar settings. Make the side with the search a widget area and place the woocommerce search widget in that widget area.

    Hi Ben and Hannah

I’m getting to grips with Virtue pretty well now, and I’m using the recommended Page Builder to create my perfect home page layout. One thing I don’t seem to be able to achieve though is to use your excellent image menu in a widget (and therefore within Page Builder).

I’d like my site layout to be:

    Welcome text…
    Image menu…
    Other stuff…

I can make this work by using a “Home Widget Area” to place my welcome text, but it would be MUCH nicer to deliver the home page as one nicely built page builder layout. Alternatively, can one of your widgets be made to work like the image menu? (I want to be able to use photos you see).

    My page is here:

    Many thanks
    Steve

Hey, The topbar icon options are not images, they are a built in font. That way they can be any size and color and they will always be clear. You can’t really add to those icons without using a child theme and some custom css, functions and your own icon font. So it’s not an image thing. This plugin will give you some options for adding icons though and you can use it to add more through a widget like in the topbar widget area if you don’t know how to use a child theme and call in your own font files.

In your home layout you can add the page content or widget area at the top before the icon menu.

and can I scale the icons ?

? I don’t follow? You want them larger or smaller?

    Hello.
I want have on homepage in the “Home Widget Area” a widget that can show me my jw-player playlist.
When I use the “Text” Widget with shortcode [jwplayer player=”1″ playlistid=”1081″] the video don’t show in this area.

What do I have to do that the videoplayer is displayed in “Home Widget Area”?

    Kind Regards

Do you mean put a text widget in the footer widget area and put the code in there? This didn’t change anything…

Would be easiest to use pagebuilder, You can add in a pagebuilder section even with the home widget area but might be just as easy to use your static home page content.

    Hi,

I am curious to know how I can get my two widgets aligned next to each other horizontally in the home widget area. The two widgets are Visual Editor & Subscribe.

    Link to Site

I basically want the bottom subscribe form next to the “We are excited that you are joining our community.” box.

    Thanks,

    Hi Renae,
I think you would be better off using the header widget area and adding an image widget. In Theme Options > Main Settings select the last options beside Logo Layout. Then you can got to Appearance > Widgets and add a virtue: image widget to the header widget area.
    Hope that works for you!

    #34588

    Hey,
Easiest quick fix is to add the home widget area instead of the portfolio full.

then in the widget area add a text widget with this shortcode:

    [portfolio_posts columns="4" items="12" order="DESC" orderby="date"]

All goes well with testing I should have the update out tomorrow.

Thank you guys. I realize troubleshooting cross plug-in contamination is a nightmare and not in the scope of your support. 🙂 Unfortunately I don’t have control in the plug-in settings in this case, “Simple Share Buttons”, to turn off testimonial posts. And technically, I don’t think that would solve it. This issue is happening on my Home Page, where the Pinnacle: Testimonial Carousel is being used inside the Home Widget using the Home Layout method. And the Sharing plugin is being used inside a footer widget area. So technically it’s not happening on a “Post” page. I’ll try working it out with the plug-in developer… Simple Share Buttons.

Hoping someone has an idea for me. I’ve tried the code given here and another I found with a . instead of the # sign at the beginning of the code. My social icons are still not over to the right where I want them to be. Ideally, I would like the search widget where the icons are and the icons way over to the right. Just a note, no matter if I put the social icons before of after the search widget in the top bar widget area, the layout is the same, with the icons to the left. I am using the Top 25 social icons widget. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I posted twice. Once was in a resolved topic and I wasn’t sure if it would be seen.
