Yes that worked. Thank you. Right before this happened, I was experimenting with adding a widget to the header area, and changing the menu location to secondary. Sometimes these strange things happen, and I wish I understood what prompts this. But pointing out that description area will be very helpful in the future.
Thank you very much Hannah!

Hi Frank,
Looks like right now you’ve enabled that through the Extra Footer widget area above the footer. I would suggest adding it to your home widget area instead. Just make sure the home widget area has been enabled in the Homepage Layout Manager in Theme Options > Home Layout.
Hope that helps!Hannah

Hi Bill,
You can use a plugin like the following to add a block to a widget area: https://wordpress.org/plugins/reusable-blocks-extended/
Then you could add a Post Grid/Carousel block from Kadence Blocks. Would this work for you?Hannah
In forum: Membership ForumsSeptember 4, 2020 at 5:09 am #256340Thank you Hannah.
I purchased your membership bundle and also the site Origin pro bundle as it looked like a good alternative to Elementor when using other plugins. (My site requires Pano2VR and other content plugins that I want to use with content sliders and some woocommerce features). I am happy that Siteorigins pro bundle installs 1 extra plugin and I can activate/deactivate the any of extra widgets as required. The Kadence membership has 16 extra plugins. Obviously I cannot install all those and keep my admin area happy with less than 20 plugins. It would be much better if your membership plan installed like Siteorigin’s with the option to activate/deactivate as required. This also makes things easier across multiple sites. In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Home widget area
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Home widget area
Hello!
I would like to enable, and use, the “home widget area” on the home layout. I would like to place it at the bottom of the home layout, above the footer. But the spacing between my enabled “latest blog posts” down to the “home widget area” is too far. It is too much spacing between them. Is there a way to decrease this spacing?
Here you can see where I would like to put it:

As it is right now the “home widget area” is disabled due to the live version of this site. But hopefully you understand what I mean?
Thank you a lot!

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Text in top bar, and making it sticky?
Hello,
So that widget area just needs to be made to fit both of those items in a single line. This can be done like so with custom css:
.kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-widget-area.kad-topbar-item-right { display: flex; }To align the text properly with the button, you can add this right after the CSS above:
.kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-widget-area .textwidget p { line-height: 40px; padding-right: 10px; }Let me know if that works out for you or if you need anything else.
Thanks!

August 21, 2020 at 5:14 pm #255464Hey,
In your header options you can make the whole header sticky so that would make it sticky with the rest of your header.Add another text widget to the widget area and place the text int that, it should flow next to the widget.

In forum: Virtue ThemeAugust 20, 2020 at 2:11 pm #255360I’ve updated the css on your site, let me know if that works for you.

.kad-header-widget { text-align: right; } .kad-header-widget .header-widget-area-header.shortcodes-ultimate { float: right; } .kad-header-widget .virtue_social_widget { float: right; margin-top: 10px; margin-right: 10px; } @media (min-width: 992px) { .kad-header-left { width: calc( 40% - 30px ); padding-left: calc(30% + 15px ); box-sizing: content-box; } .kad-header-widget { width: 30%; box-sizing: border-box; } }Ben

August 20, 2020 at 1:51 pm #255357Hey, Here is a bunch of custom css which can make this mostly possible for you.
I first suggest you increase your header height setting by about 30px to accommodate the space to place this under the logo area.h4.header-widget-title { font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.2; font-style: italic; } .kad-far-right-header.kt-header-flex-item { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; z-index: 111; } .kad-header-flex.kad-header-height { position: relative; } li.menu-widget-area-kt .widget-inner { display: flex; justify-content: center; align-items: center; flex-direction: row-reverse; } #logo a.brand { padding-bottom: 32px; } .kad-header-menu-outer .kadence_social_widget a { width: 32px; height: 32px; line-height: 30px; }Ben
In forum: Kadence ThemeAugust 20, 2020 at 9:57 am #255321This is an issue I am working on. The customizer doesn’t load widget area settings unless that widget area is on the page so when you load the customizer before adding the header widget area or the toggle one there is no widget area settings to view. Right now just saving and reloading the customizer fixes but I’m working on a way to trick the customizer into loading those widget area settings even if it’s not being used on the page so that there is no confusion.

In forum: Kadence ThemeAugust 20, 2020 at 7:02 am #255304Nothing happens when clicking on “Add Widget Items” in the Customizer at Header’s Toggle Widget Area.
Widgets can be added in the “Header Off Canvas” sidebar normally at Appearance > Widgets.
In forum: Ascend ThemeAugust 20, 2020 at 6:55 am #255303Hi – two questions.
I want to add an Instagram link in the header on every page (including home) with hover text of “Follow me on Instagram”. I can put this in the widgets area, but the title is always displayed and it’s in a huge font – can’t figure out where to adjust the size or how to make it just appear on hover. Also – in an ideal world, I’d like this to appear just below the logo and site title on the right. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

August 17, 2020 at 2:19 pm #255079Hey Rainer,
Can you leave the css in so that we can see why this might not be working, it seems more likely that you need to clear the cache after adding it.I still recommend using our Kadence Theme, the toggle to widget area is now part of the beta release.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Blog Sidebar
Hello,
You should be able to create the sidebar as outlined above in Theme Options > Misc which registers it with the theme and you will see it in the Appearance > Widgets area. From there you should be able to drag the widgets into the sidebar you just created and the settings should stay true.
I just tried this locally and it did work, but again, make sure you take a backup so you don’t lose any settings should anything happen or not work as expected.
Thanks!
In forum: Ascend ThemeAugust 17, 2020 at 4:03 am #255004Hi,
I have this theme in several sites and this is the first site to display this behaviour.
When I try to expand any widget location I get no reaction. I also cannot drag any widgets to the widget areas. When I navigate to the widget area, the only one expanded is Primary sidebar – I cannot close this one or open any other ones. Its like they are not reacting to mouse interaction.
There is data in the footer columns as well as the other widget areas as they were working previously.
The site has been updated to latest theme version, I cannot expand the theme details either.
I was thinking of adding a new theme, deleting Ascend and reinstalling but have so many products I don’t want to lose them or have to set up the menus again.regards
