In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: What type of font in this sample
September 4, 2014 at 11:43 am #16584You can add a footer menu, which is horizontal and goes below the widget areas. You do that in the menus page by assigning a menu to your footer menu.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Setting page margins to 0
August 29, 2014 at 1:42 pm #16210Hey,
For the header image it would be better to place this in a slider area or widget area seperate from the page content, since it’s your home page. then I can help with the css to make full width. And for the bottom background I would recommend using pagebuilder, then adding your background though that so they are the full width of the page.
https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/
But if you set on using what you have, here is the css:
.homecontent [class*=wp-image] { padding: 0; } .homecontent { margin: 0 -15px; } .home .contentclass { padding-top: 0; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: I do not get to have two Widgets !!
August 23, 2014 at 9:04 am #15773Hey José Luís,
Let me make sure some things are clear,
You can only have one sidebar on a page.
You can select which one that is but it can only be one.
You can use the home widget area by enabling it in the theme options > home layout. That widget area will appear on the page where you add it in the layout manager. It is not a sidebar, it’s a widget area.Hope that helps,
Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello Ben,
for the Footer Virtue support to split it in different areas. Unfortunately not available for the topbar. So I split it by myself with a normal text-widget and enter the HTML Code needed with CSS clases. And format it with custom CSS. It works for me, the topbar looks as it should on Browser on PC.
But now I have a problem on moblile devices, because of lower resolution. On your split footer, it works well, all areas are not in a horizontal order on mobile-device-view with lower resolution, but they are automatically as rows one after an other in vertical order. Which Configuration (CSS or another) is responsible for that, because I look for same behavior for my topbar, to make them in vertical order on mobile-devices?

I am also able to deactivate Widgets, Textareas for mobile-View? As Example, Switch off Search-Widget in Mobile-Device-View or a part of the text area div-classes.Thanks a lot again

August 20, 2014 at 2:02 pm #15579You can make the right side of the header a widget area and add in a search widget of your choice or add in the code.
Theme options > topbar settings.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Add phone number between menu and slider
August 20, 2014 at 12:23 am #15517“How can add phone number between menu and slider”
Aside from moving your slider into the page content, using page builder or the home widget area. You can’t without editing the code.
If you want to edit the code you should work in child theme.

Hi,
I dont know if im supposed to start a new post or not.
Its got to do with the solution you gave me before about creating carousel of blog posts
by using the virtue: carousel widget in home widget area. Very great bit of support that one,
helped me heaps. What I would like to know now though..
Is there any way of selecting specific posts for the virtue carousel widget ?
I know I can add a categorie type of Post’s but Im trying to load a post from the 5 different categories of surfing lessons
(Groms,ladies,Kids,Randoms).
so when people view the home page they see several posts in the carousel but each will take them to a post
which is set for showing all of that categorie type. Thanks for your help as usual 🙂

August 13, 2014 at 2:42 pm #15130You seem to have this css in your custom css box???
.kad-header-left { width: 100%; float: left; }and you don’t have the widget area showing anymore?
BenIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Add text to Home
August 12, 2014 at 9:05 am #14996ok, right now you have the home widget box enabled above the image menu, so you can go to your appearance > widgets page and add a text widget to your home widget area. Then in the text widget add this:
<h3 class="hometitle">Recent Photography</h3>Next go to the theme options > advanced settings and add this css:
.home-padding { padding: 0; } .home_blog { padding: 40px 0 30px; } .home-widget-box .hometitle { margin-bottom: 0; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Contact form 7 and widgets
August 11, 2014 at 10:51 am #14952Hey,
You can use the map both ways. If you use the contact page or not.If you want to use a contact page template, turn the contact form off, add columns by clicking the “virtue shortcodes” or by using pagebuilder. Then add your contact form 7 shortocde to whatever column you want.
If you use a full width page then add a google map shortocde or widget above your contact form area.

August 9, 2014 at 8:08 pm #14873Hey the link you posted isn’t the home page, which might be why the confusion but you can have a carousel of blog posts by using the virtue: carousel widget.. You can enable the home widget area in the theme options then in your widgets page add the carousel.
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeAugust 6, 2014 at 10:56 pm #14690I would just use a text widget, add your code and place in the topbar widget area. Then just add the needed css to make it look correct. Don’t need to add to the social widget to have the icon appear next to it.
