    Well that or you can turn off “InstantSearch+” if you aren’t going to load your site through https.

    There are plugins that would allow you to select when to show a widget so if you make the topbar a widget area and add the search box you can change when to show the widget.

    In the theme options > topbar settings. do you have the widget area turned on?

    Then in the widgets page of the wordpress admin have you made sure the widget is in the topbar widget area?

    Hmm.

    If you go to theme options > main settings. Select the last logo layout option which enabled a widget area.

    Then add this css:

    .kad-header-left {
    width: 100%;
    float: none;
    text-align: center;
    }
    .kad-header-widget {
    width: 100%;
    float: none;
    text-align: center;
    }

    That will make the header widget area below the logo without having to use a child theme.

    I’m not sure where you’re looking. If you’re in your wordpress admin area select pages on the left. From there find the page that you’ve set as your home page. When editing that page do you see a page-builder option? The social widget is not default, it was somehow added.

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks again for the answer the other day. I would like to ask about the Home Widget Area. The page in question:

    I placed a Call to Action on that area, however, by modifying the H1 typography, the font for the widget changed too. Is there a way to modify the typography on that part without affecting the entire site as a whole?

    Regards,
    Carlo

    Hey,
    You just need to enable the widget area in right of topbar. This can be done in theme options > topbar settings. Save changes and your the topbar should appear in widgets:)

    Hello Team!
    First of all I want to say that your theme is great! I am having an inconvenient. I do not see the topbar widget; which I actually need to add the WPML language switcher. The topbar widget is not listed on my list of widgets. I have: Primary sidebar, Home widget area, footer column 1 to footer column 4. Should I do something that I am not aware off to activate this widget? Why is it not listed? Many thanks for your prompt response, I am kind of stocked on this, since the website I am doing has to be bilingual. Have a good day.
    Gustavo.

    I am watching the Page Builder Tutorial and I don’t seem to to have the visual editor widget as an option. I have read all the FAQ and I can see it under appearance in the widget area and can add it to side bars etc- how can i add it to the page builder options

    Thanks Suzie

    Hello Ben,

    I would like to eliminate the white space (i suppose it is the widget top margin or padding top) you see in my homepage just in between the header background and the widget area. How can I do it?
    Please, visit http://www.laplandinteractive .com

    You have admin data but better let me know how to manage it, so in future I don’t disturb you again.

    Best Regards,
    Angelo

    I am using Easy Adsense Pro plugin and config to show ads on 3 areas top middle and footer of blog post. Also showing in side bar widget.

    Please advice to solve this issue.

    Many thanks

    As that site is not using the virtue theme there is no default option to do this and have it look the same.
    What you can do is in your theme options > topbar settings enabled the widget area and enabled the flip of your topbar.

    Then add a social icons to the topbar widget area using the virtue: social widget and assign a menu to be your topbar menu in the appearance menus page.

    Sounds great, Ben!

    Talking about STAFF: Could you imagine to integrate yr Pinnacle::Contact/VCard widget into the STAFF edit screen?
    I build a rather classic (>> VCard … ;o) corporate site based on Pinnacle and the site’s STAFF area will hold 60+ individuals. Today, I “attach” the VCard widget of each employee via PageBuilder. Hence I edit people’s coherent data on two screens. A common place would be great >> the STAFF edit screen with addtnl fields for email, phone, department, location etc.
    Visual integration could be done as an additional circle icon next to facebook, twitter etc. Will be shown if the user toggles some ‘Show VCard icon” option. The current VCard frontend is nice, so I’d be happy to still see that. Maybe as a popup below the VCard circle icon ….

    Just ideas, just dreams … ;o)

    Cheers,
    Dirk

    I dont see a widget place holder for header… The only place holders I have are:
    Primary Sidebar
    sidebar1
    home widget area
    footer column 1
    footer column 2
    footer column 3
    footer column 4

    Where is this header widget area your’ referring to?

    #17768

    Hey, in theme options > topbar settings make sure you have the “enable widget area in right of topbar” set to on.

    #17766

    So you can add an embedded video to your header by going to appearance > widgets and place the embedded video in your header widget area. I’m just not sure if this is the look you’re going for… Let me know what you think.

    Hello

    I would like to change the size for the social media icons I placed in the footer widget area – and use smaller icons ( )

    Is it possible to also make them round in shape?

    Thank you

    Hey,
    1. Your logo has a lot of space below the graphic: http://finnlayhector.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/kca_horizontal_trans.png
    2. You can change the logo padding in the theme options > main settings. drop your bottom margin down to 0.
    3. You can change css in the theme options without having to redo, not needed in this case but just fyi.
    4. The call to action widget uses your h1 font family and font weight. the widget titles in your footer use the h3 font family and weight. So you might just want to use the visual editor widget with a title and add a button shortcode in the text area.

    Only with css, are you wanting to have just a widget area a different color or the whole footer background different on certain pages?

    Go to appearance > widgets and add widgets into the sidebar widget area.
