    Hey John,
    There is not an option (yet!) to add blocks to a widget area. But there are some widgets that may get you the look you want. For example, the Virtue Image Menu Item widget. You could add that to your sidebar from Appearance > Widgets.
    Virtue premium has an option for a sitewide footer shortcode. You could use the Kadence Slider to create a slider with images and links to your desired pages. Then you can paste the slider shortcode into the above the footer shortcode output from Theme Options > Footer.
    Would either of these options work for you?

    Merry Christmas to you as well!

    Hi Ben,

    I would like to post a follow up question on this topic from a couple of years ago. I confess that I never had the time to figure out how to add widget areas to different pages that would show the same content. Instead I managed by updating the information on both pages. But now I would like to add the same thumbnail advertisements for each individual tour to a sidebar menu. So I’m revisiting this communication to see if you could give me some tips on how to achieve what I would like.

    What I need:
    – Advertisements for a variety of tours, showing up on every page. These need to be image+text
    – This could be in a sidebar (my first thought), or in a slider display on each page

    Here is the sidebar that I would like to edit: http://www.johngrahamtours.com/tamada-club/
    Right now it just has text titles that when clicked, redirect to another page on the website. That is fine. But I would like these titles to be a little more attractive and enticing. They need to include images and text. If I can create a good quality sidebar with blocks of content that advertise other tours, I would implement such a sidebar site wide so that viewers of every page could see what other tours are on offer.

    Another option is a slider with text and image blocks that each advertise for a separate tour. Something like what is seen at the bottom of this page: https://www.steppestravel.com/blog/understanding-overtourism/

    I am conscious that my website has terrible load times (probably a product of a cheap hosting plan), so I don’t want to overburden my site. Let me know what advise you have.

    Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

    John

    You can enable the header widget area from Theme Options > Main Setting. Then add a button shortcode into a visual editor or text widget from Appearance > Widgets.
    Hope that helps!

    Hey,
    You can enable the Topbar Widget area from Theme Options > Widget Settings, then add your Instagram feed as a widget from Appearance > Widgets. Would that work for you?

    hello,
    Please guide me how I can add Instagram feed plugin on the top page?
    I have the plugin on a page but trying to figure out the way to put this on to top page.

    The plugin page URL

    I have tried to add a home widget area on the home page layout manager but it does not work the way I am intending.

    Thank you in advance for your great support.

    Hi,
    In the ‘Mobile Top Icon Bar Widget’ I’ve added this html to display a clickable phone number:
    Call Us: 01724 870232
    However, on my Mobile ‘the font colour is displayed as orange’ that is difficult to read against the blue background required, how can I make ‘the font colour display as white’ without it affecting other areas of the website please?
    Thank you

    Hi Hannah,

    thanks for the code, but it didn’t solve the problem. It made the icons clickable, but they’re linking back to the homepage, not to the links specifically assigned for each icon.

    I’ll try to explain it a bit better. I assigned one external link for each icon at the “Mobile Top Icons” section in Theme Options. The Whatsapp icon, on the other hand, was added through the Mobile Top Icon Bar Widget Area and also sends to a specific external link. They all work fine and direct to the correct links if I don’t add any custom css. When I add the initial css Ben sent, the icons are simply no longer clickable. I try to click on them and nothing happens. If I erase the css, they work fine again, each icon sending to its own assigned link. The css Ben sent worked perfectly for the alignment, but for some reason broke the icons’ function as hyperlinks. I need them to both aligned and functioning.

    Is there a way of making this work?

    Thanks!

    Hi guys,

    I was wondering if it’s possible to make some adjustments on the mobile menu for a website I’ve been working on. I’ve enabled the top icon bar and top icon bar widget area for mobile, but I need them to be aligned with the menu and logo. So they wouldn’t exactly be a top bar, but instead would be on the same line as the logo and menu. I’m attaching a print screen of how it is now and an edited version showing how I need it to be.

    Thanks a lot,
    Carolina

    Hello,

    I updated yesterday some plugins. Now my page is broken. Switching all plugins off does not fix it. Only when I switch to the Twenty Twenty theme it is fixed. So, what is going on with the theme?

    mrcardboard.eu

    Edit/Things tried and did not fix it:
    – Deactivate all plugins
    – Switch to PHP 7.3
    – Upload a fresh 2.5.6 Theme file
    – Cleared the Custom CSS section

    Best regards,
    Hendrik

    Hey Hannah,

    I’ve added the API Key but I am worried about the other steps:

    Upgrade From Free to Premium – Simply Active the Premium Theme. All your theme options will transfer.
    You will need to update your menu location assignments and your widgets. See steps below-

    Step 2 – Choose a menu(s) and assign it/them to the appropriate location(s) in the theme.
    Step 4 – Click and drag each widget back to the desired location (when switching themes widgets may switch widget areas or be placed in the “inactive” widget area).
    *Note be sure to deactivate the Kadence Toolkit plugin. It is not needed with our premium themes.

    Another thing: I also received an email from WordPress confirming the following:
    Howdy!

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Jetpack by WordPress.com.

    First, visit your website (https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/update.php?action=update-selected&plugins=boxzilla%2Fboxzilla.php%2Cjetpack%2Fjetpack.php%2Cmailchimp-for-wp%2Fmailchimp-for-wp.php%2Cwp-file-manager%2Ffile_folder_manager.php%2Cyith-woocommerce-category-accordion%2Finit.php&_wpnonce=7fbc3ba05d) and check for any visible issues.

    Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

    If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigates further.

    https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=gyN7hkKBND7NX8HPrZIbzX&rm_key=Ch0vHMVZ4hG2mFt1pKIjww

    To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

    When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.3
    Current theme: Ascend – Premium (version 1.9.2)
    Current plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com (version 8.0)
    PHP version 7.2.25

    Hey Judy,
    Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings:

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .widget-1.widget-first.header-widget-area-header.widget_media_image {
        width: 50%;
        float: left;
    }
    .kad-info-box.kad-info-box-98.clearfix {
        float: left;
        margin-top: 10px;
    }
    .widget-2.widget-last.header-widget-area-header.virtue_infobox_widget {
        display: inline-block;
        width: 50%;
        margin-top: 10px;
    }
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Hi

    Is there a way to make the widgets in the header widget area display side by side rather than vertically? We have 2 at the moment and they are taking up half the screen – see jccmw.org

    You could display your portfolio posts via shortcode like this:
    [portfolio_posts orderby=date style="pgrid" columns=4 items=80 ratio="square" lightbox=true showtypes=true]
    Just paste that into a text widget within your home widget area (appearance > widgets). And make sure your home widget area is enabled in Theme Options > Home Layout.

    Hey,
    You can paste the plugin shortcode into a text widget within your home widget area in Appearance > Widgets. Just make sure the home widget area is enabled in the homepage layout manager (theme options > home layout).

    You can paste a shortcode into any content area or text widget/block.
    You can use the carousel shortcode. Just make sure your home widget area is enabled from Theme Options > Home Layout, then add the Pinnacle Carousel Shortcode from Appearance > Widgets.

    There isn’t a built-in way to add two Latest Blog Posts sections, but you could use the home widget area as your second blog posts section and display your posts within a certain category via shortcode. Have you tried the shortcode output?

    Hi, at the bottom of this page I used a 3 columns page-builder row with a ASCEND: recent post widget.

    I needed to put a bottom margin of 250px otherwise the result was an overlapping with the footer area… see the image before the fix

    Hey Tara,
    You can use the home widget area or your static homepage to add title text, then add your posts via shortcode. You can see a full list of shortcodes here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/
    Would that work for you?

    Is there an area where I can tweak the settings for the Latest Blog Posts settings? For example, have it not include an image, but just list a title and excerpt?

    Thanks,

    I’ve used this theme twice before, but I’m not having much luck getting this theme to work for me this time.

    I’ve always used the Slider Revolution in the past, but this time I’m using the Kadence Slider. I followed instructions in Kadence about displaying the Kadence Slider on the front page. I created one picture in the Kadence Slider area (see attached) and then went into Theme Options>Home Slider… I chose Kadence Slider Pro…Saved… went into the Widget area and pasted the shortcode. But, the slider is not working. What am I doing wrong?
