One option would be to use a page builder plugin to add the filter as a widget into the content area of your shop page. Then you can use css and media queries to have that show only on mobile, and also to hide the sidebar filter on mobile. Would that work for you?

Thanks for your note about the music icons, We are fastly approaching where the block editor will get into the widget areas so you will be able to add blocks into the header. That is where I can see an update coming for a social media block that includes an easy way to add icons that are not part of the base.

1. This will center al your text:

.product_item .price {

}

}

2. In Theme Options > Shop Archive Settings do you have the text transform set to none beside “Shop & archive Product title Font”?
This will affect your not rated text:

.product_item .kt-notrated {
    text-transform: capitalize;
}

Let me know if there’s other areas you’re referencing.

3. What happens when you try to add more than 4 or 5 widgets? There shouldn’t be a cut off for that. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to have two sidebars on a page. But if you wanted you could use one of our woocommerce page building plugins to create a custom shop and/or archive page. Hi Hannah,

The social media icons would be smaller, to fit them all in – so it would be text/font on one side, and iconset/size on the other. There’d also be more icons then there would be text menu items. If this is too far from what is designed in the theme, that’s fine tho’!

I should say, the social media menu is set up that way (using Font Awesome icons) because the Ascend Social Links don’t include the main music social media platforms – they do include Soundcloud, but not Spotify, Bandcamp, or Deezer. Are there plans to add these, or can I make a feature request for them somewhere? And if not, is there some way I can create or upload icons for those to add them to the Ascend Social Links on my site(s)? That way, I could add them to the header widget area instead of needing a second, custom menu.

Site in demo, I want to make the Image Menu and Testimonials (set in Home Widget Area) both full width to match the header, call to action and portfolio carousel sections. Should be pretty clear if you scroll down the homepage:

There’s a theme setting for the portfolio carousel to be full width but I can’t see the same for image menu and home widget area, apologies if I’m missing something!

I’ve created a row that sports 4 columns. 3 display the business locations, the last the business hours. I’d like this row to display on every page so logically I’d love it to be part of the header. This way if I make an update I only have to make it once. Can I put this in the Topbar Widget Area and then use CSS to move the Topbar below the header? Just a thought, perhaps you have a better suggestion. Force the Header Widget Area onto the next line?

1. You can create a category page using the default page template and a product category shortcode like this:
[product_category category="apparel” orderby=”menu_order” order=”asc” columns=”3″] Then just add the shortcode into content area above this shortcode.
Or, if you’re using Kadence Blocks Pro you can use the Post Grid/Carousel block. Then you can add your shortcode into a shortcode block.

2. You can enable an extras area in your header then enable a widget area as an extra (from theme options > header settings). Then from Appearance > Widgets you can add your shortcode into a text widget in your header extras area. Then you would need to use css to position it above your menu. I can help with that.

3. You can use the Google Chrome inspect tool. I can also help with that if you can link to this.

Hey,
1. You can add in the category description which will show it above the products. And in the product description area. That would let you without using a child theme. If you need a widget area there you can use a plugin like this to create a widget area that you place via a shortcode: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-on-pages/

However I might suggest using a plugin like this: https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-woocommerce-elementor/
That will let you build out templates that can be applied to all your products and all your category pages.

2. If you can post a link so I can see how you have you header setup, likly you can use the topbar widget area.

Problem with this is that any B2B clients still using non-widescreen monitors aren’t seeing that menu as is. I’m not sure how I could make it responsive for mobile either.

Can you post a link so I can understand what you are talking about there?

3. It’s really probably better if you add your styling inline, meaning in the html you add you would place the background color.

So in your text widget that could look something like this:

This is your text
</div>

However, you can also target by widget id and custom css for that we need a link as the id would be generated and not something we can know without seeing the page.

The site title is too small (I’d like the first name and second name together on one line instead of wrapped, on wide screens such as laptop), the spacing between menu items is too wide and the icons are too large. (I’m using font awesome icons for an icon menu as Kadence set doesn’t include popular music icons; perhaps there’s a way to replace that secondary menu with a widget area, using those font awesome icons?

The menu-either-side-of-logo option asks for max of 4 items on either side – I need 7 on the icon menu (secondary menu), tho’ only 4 on the primary menu.

How can I achieve better sizing?

i just put the text in a text wifdget and added it to the home widget area.

This shortcode should work for you: [portfolio_types orderby=date showexcerpt=false columns=4 items=4 height=200 childof=0 childcategories=false]
You can paste that into the content area of your homepage if your home page is set as a static page. Or you can paste it into a text widget within the home widget area.

– Remove sidebar widgets… even if I remove this, the display layout displays 3 columns and an area for the sidebar as empty
– Put in a search form before the search result entries?

Hey,
Ascend was built with an above the footer widget area and this was created in that using page builder by siteorigin and row seperator. This would have to look a little different in Virtue as it doesn’t have this extra widget area. I’m not sure of a way to create a site-wide effect like this, but you could add a row to the bottom of your pages and add row seperator to that row. Which editor are you using?

Yes, when you transfer from the visual editor to pagebuilder your content will turn into a visual editor widget. Just note that you can’t switch back and forth between editors.

How are you adding your banner? A widget has to be added into a widget area. A shortcode can be added into any content area. Looks like getyourguide plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year. I would recommend using a different plugin.
