    Hey,
    You can add a slider into the home widget area. It’s just not really meant to take a slider so you may need to update some css. Post a link with a slider added there and I can take a look.

    Thank you Ben:

    That would be to have banners in the header area on the Home Page via Home Page Header settings? Or is there another option you were thinking about?

    I was looking for a solution that would appear on all pages. For instance, Home Extras Widget Area. I tried using a Text widget with the Kadence slider shortcode and it did not work.

    Appreciate your help!

    After updating just a bit ago to Virtue 4.8.4, now I cannot edit ANY pages on the site. (I just get a white screen when trying to edit a page.) This is kind of an emergency, because I MUST launch a new page (isn’t quite done, and now I can’t edit – gah!) by first thing in the morning tomorrow, which is in about 6 hours (my time) here on the East coast of the US.

    Here is the site:

    The page I’m trying to edit is here:

    I also can’t edit any Widgets. Suddenly, no widgets are showing in the Widgets area of the site, and I can’t expand screen options. (And I desperately need to update one of the widgets, too!!!) Everything was fine yesterday, and suddenly this happens now overnight tonight during a new page launch… (Updates just break things too often. I SWEAR I need to stop updating entirely. So many problems!)

    Please help!!! (I’m following-up with a private email with credentials, etc.)

    Hey Phil,
    1. Try adding this to your custom css:

    .past-issues-search-results .sdm_fancy2_item {
        min-height: 340px;
    }

    2. Are you wanting to keep your title on mobile (in the header widget area)? Have you tested out the mobile header (theme options > mobile header)? It looks like you’re kind of going for a transparent header look which isn’t a built-in function with Virtue like it is with our other themes.

    Hi:

    What are the solutions for having a series of rotating leaderboard ad banners (728×90) within the header area of the Ascend Theme? Right now we have one setup in the “Headers Extra Widget Area”. We’d like to have 4 or 5 banners rotating. Is there an option available within the Ascend Theme?

    Thank you,
    Loren

    Looks like you just needed to move the widget into the home layout widget area.

    should be set.

    Hmm, not without editing the code in a child theme. But the layout builder widget gives a lot of flexibility so you could add a three-column row into a single column area.

    Hey,
    In your appearance > widgets. Footer area 1 would be the above widget area and 2,3,4 would be the columns under. can you send me a screenshot of how you have it setup up?

    Ben

    In your topbar widget area you have an open <strong> tag you just need to close that all out.

    Here is what I’m seeing in the output:

    <h5><a href="https://www.ucjf.org/day-of-jewish-learning/" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ffe833;"><strong>November 11th Day of Jewish Learning - Register Now!</strong></span></a><br />
    <strong></h5>

    That last <strong> just needs to be removed.

    Hey,
    You can see the footer layout here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-3/

    If you would like help please be specific and post links to what you are seeing as the problem.

    As for removing the above footer widget area on landing page templates you can use this css:

    .page-template-template-landing .above_footer_outer {
        display: none;
    }

    I hope that helps,

    Hey,

    You have a couple options.

    You can use the home widget area and use the “layout widget” in the home widget area to create any kind of content you want.

    Or You can add latest posts and featured carousel as widgets in page builder in your normal page content and you don’t need to use the home modules.

    You can click “virtue shortcodes” in a visual editor widget to add the blog posts and you can use virtue: carousel for the featured carousel. Then simply add another row and add whatever you want below those.

    You can use the home widget area then add the Layout Builder widget to create a full-width row with an image background and parallax. The home widget area can be enabled from theme options > home layout, then the widget added from Appearance > Widgets. Would that work for you?

    How would you like it to look? Your widgets are centered in the header widget area, and the logo defaults to be left aligned. You should be able to adjust your header widgets to align right, but I can also do it with CSS.

    If you can specify what you want, I can update the CSS.

    #204887

    Hey,
    This is correct the widget areas will align in order 1,2,3 from left to right but if there is nothing in 1 and 2 then 3 would still be aligned left.

    If you add just one empty text widget as a placeholder that would push things to the right.

    Hey Pedro,
    In Theme Options > Mobile Header you can Enable Mobile Top Icon Bar Widget Area then add your social icons there. Would that work for you?

    Don’t add a menu to the widget area. Set a menu to primary navigation from Appearance > Menus.

    There isn’t a way to add dropdown menu through a widget area. But you can use css to make the primary menu align next to the widget area if you would like.

    Move your current primary menu to the secondary menu and place what you want next to the widget area in your primary menu then post back here and I can help get it all aligned.

    I want to add a drop down menu in my header widget area but how can i do that? I was try it with Max Mega Menu. when i create a menu and try to add in my header via widget but failed because i was not select Menu Display location. and if i select any display location then that menu will also show there so how can i do that, so can i create a custom menu location for use.

    Try to understand please. Maybe I have not explained the problem correctly.

    Hey,
    Sorry, I’m not quite sure what you’re asking. You can create custom menus from Appearance > Menus. Then you can add a custom menu widget to any widget area, including the sidebar (from Appearance > Widgets). Is that what you mean?
