Hey,
usually, it’s a plugin or some script you could add in a page or widget area that would break jQuery.Have you tried deactivating plugins?
Are you adding any javascript anywhere in the site?
What is in your child theme?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Scroll bar at bottom of blog home page not working
Yeah, the page content will appear wherever you place it on the enabled side of Theme Options> Home Layout. Hopefully that makes sense!
If you want to have another page builder area on your home page, a workaround would be to enable the home widget area in Theme Options> Home Layout, then go to Appearance> Widgets, and add a layout builder to your Home Widget Area.
Let me know if you have anymore questions!

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Equal Height Info Box
Hi Kevin, thanks for this. I actually only want the boxes to be affected on this page :D. Because the next 4 Info Boxes I add are going to be within a different row, I’ll just want them to be the same size as each other (hope that makes sense) as they’ll be larger than the info boxes on this row.
Would giving the info boxes a css id (in the attribute area of the widget) make it easier to control? So the ones in this could be something like home-links-small and the ones in the next row be home-links-big. Then change the css to reflect this?
Again, I hope that makes sense and many thanks againChris

This will add a divider:
.nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a { border-right: 1px solid #eee; } li.menu-item.menu-item-type-post_type.menu-item-object-page.menu-item-474 a { border-right: none; }From Theme Options > Header Settings try dragging your first widget area to the top of the list. Does that fix?

Thanks Hannah. is there any way for the menu tabs to have a separator in between? they are too close. also, i did the settings with extras on each side of logo, added header extras widget areas and header extras widget second but everything just goes to the right side
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: menu below logo
You can add a background color with this css:
.nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a { background: #eee; }In Theme Options > Header Settings you can choose the layout with extras on either side of the logo, then add a widget area to both. Would that work for you?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Head of the page
Hello,
I received this email from wistis:
“Pls try pasting the following code into your <head> section for each page where a Wistia video exists. I assume your theme allows this.”
I know there is a general option for “head” somewhere on theme options, but how can I do that only for the pages that contain wistia videos?
Also, one of the videos is on my home page, that is not exactly a page, but a list with “latest blog articles”. The video is on the “home page widget area”, above the blogs list.
So, my question is: where should I paste the code that is supposed to be in the head of the page, including the home page.

If you’re using the home widget area you can use pagebuilder layout widget as well.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeJuly 7, 2018 at 2:45 am #195170Hello
I’m using the icon flip box widget and placing it in my home widget area. The trouble is each box takes up the full with of the screen. If I add another it puts it below the first. Is there a way I can add these side by side?
Thank youTom

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Using SHORTCODE in widgets

Can you send a login? I don’t have any issue using that shortcode in the header widget area.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Home page post carousel header
Hello,
In theme options> Home layout, you should be able to set the posts up to 16. Can you post a link so I can be sure I’m referring to the same carousel as you are?
One option that would allow you to customize the carousel even more would be to add it to your page content via a page builder widget or shortcode. You could also add it to the home widget area.
Here’s an example of the shortcode you could add to a text editor:
[carousel type=post columns=3 items=20]For more shortcode options, see this page:

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Using SHORTCODE in widgets
Hi Hanna, thank you for taking the time to respond to me. Any shortcode fails to render, even the standard WP shortcodes (like listing posts for example). Instead the actual literal shortcode verbiage appears. Specifically what I am trying to do, is render a user login with username and password within the header widget of the virtue theme. I have already set this header style, which enables the header widget in the widget area, and upon attempting any shortcode, it fails.
Here is the plugin, although any will do that performs what I’m looking for:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/login-logout/In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Blog Posts List
Hello,
I’m trying to acchieve something in my homepage, but I’m not being well succeed by myself, so I winder if you guys could help me.
On my dashboard->settings-> reading options, I’ve set “your recent blog posts” as home page, and I like a lot this blog grid/list style.
However, I need to put a vídeo on top of it. I thought about using a static page as home page, and use Site Origin to build my home page however I want, so here goes my first question: How can I have a blog posts list in any page that I want, that looks exactly like my current home page? This would solve my problem, as I would be able to build it however I want and set it as my home page.
If it’s not available, here it comes my second question: I’m using theme options->home page layout to put a home page widgets area, and inside this widget area I’m using siteorigin editor and put a video inside it. However, the video is too big… any comments on how I could have more control over the design of the page using this method or any other?
My website has a construction page, so I’ll write another post giving you access, can I?
Thank you,
FelippeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Number of images in portfolio home page
Hi Julia,
Are you adding your portfolio posts from Theme Options > Home Layout > Portfolio Full? If so, you should be able to set your number of posts to 36. If you’re still wanting more than this, you can add your portfolio posts using a shortcode like this:[portfolio_posts orderby=date excerpt=false columns=4 items=40 height=200 lightbox=true showtypes=true]
Just paste that into a text widget within your home widget area or in your home edit page if you have created a static page as your homepage.
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Landscape slider for blog post summary on home page,
Hello,
You can do this two ways. If you’re using page builder, add an Ascend Carousel widget to your home page content or your home widget area. If you’re not, you can add it to your page content directly with shortcode. The shortcode will look like this:
[carousel type=post orderby=date columns=3]Just place into the text editor.
Let me know if it works for you.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: social links style
June 14, 2018 at 3:33 am #193077Hi guys!
Is there a way to style the Ascend Social Links that go in the widget area (e.g. circular)?
Thank you
In forum: Ascend ThemeI’m using a widget in the Above Footer Widget Area and Footer Column 1, but we’d like to suppress these from appearing on any page that has Member Pages as a Parent page. Is there any way to accomplish this? HERE is an example of one the pages on which we’d like to hide these widgets. There is a sidebar menu with a list of bands. All those with an * have a page on this site and we’d like to suppress these footer widgets for all of them.
Thanks so much!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Alternative post and portfolio grid on the Hompage
Hi Steph,
You can enable a portfolio grid and posts grid on your homepage from Theme Options > Home Layout by enabling “Portfolio Full” and “Latest Posts”.
Or you can add a shortcode into a text widget within the home widget area. You can see all shortcodes here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Building With the Ascend Wanderlust Theme
Hey,
1. You can use this css:.headerclass, .mobile-headerclass, .kad-fixed-vertical-background-area { background: rgba(255,255,255,.7); }2. There isn’t a function to do this with the header. Only when using page builder. One workaround would be to hide the header using css and add a page builder row to the top of your page.
3. I’m not sure what you mean. You can still set your settings from theme options, then edit your page with your site builder. Sorry if I’m missing something.
4. Is page builder the site builder you’re using? This tutorial may be helpful- https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder/
5. Totally up to you. I don’t think you would have much trouble using page builder at this point. Keep in mind if you use the demo importer it will replace all your content and you would have to start from scratch in adding your own information.
6. You can’t add a row separator to the header as I said above. You would have to create a row in your page and add your video to a widget in the row. I would suggest creating a kadence slider for your video, then adding the kadence slider shortcode to a text widget.
7. That is done using the Kadence Slider Pro. If you do not already have that plugin installed you should be able to do so from Appearance > Theme Plugins.
8. There is an option to set this within the Ascend: Image Menu Item widget.
Hope that’s helpful!
