In reply to: Change background color in widget above footer
You’ve enabled the “Extra Footer widget area above the footer” from Theme Options > Footer Settings, correct? Then from Appearance > Widgets add the Layout Builder widget to the extra footer widget area. Then you can add widgets to a row within that widget, and set the background color for your row. Does that make sense?

July 9, 2017 at 9:52 pm #151167You would need to add into a text widget in your header extras widget area. Then in your theme options > header settings you can enable the header widget area.

July 7, 2017 at 3:14 pm #151023You can use the home widget area to add a testimonial carousel, or add a testimonial grid using a shortcode like

Hello Anette,
Which theme are you using and where would you like the testimonial slider to display? You can add it via Page Builder to any part of the page or post that you want. I would suggest using page builder to add the testimonials. You could also add it to any widget area in Appearance> Widgets.
What’s “best” will totally depend on your needs.
You can also add testimonials via shortcode:

July 3, 2017 at 5:10 pm #150639In both your top bar and your header widget area, you have not enabled the woocommerce search widget. You have to use the woocommerce search widget if you want the results to be styled the same as woocommerce products.

July 3, 2017 at 4:44 pm #150633Hey,
So always it’s best if you can post a link when asking for support. This will give you much faster response, better support and make our lives generally much easier.I wasn’t asking for a link just as a side note with the CSS in hand. Mostly I would write the CSS for you based on your settings. And since there are many settings it’s preferred that you post a link so I can make it specific to you.
If you have imported the magazine demo content to your site then to make your menu center go into the theme options > custom css box and remove this css:
.second-navclass .nav-second .sf-menu { -webkit-justify-content: flex-start; -ms-justify-content: flex-start; justify-content: flex-start; }Also along with that to change the color of the widget titles in page builder you can go back to theme options > custom css box and edit this section:
.panel-grid-cell .widget-title { font-size: 20px; background: #00aeef; color: white; line-height: 20px; padding: 8px; font-weight: 200; display: inline-block; }Change the background part of it.
If you didn’t import then I will have to wait till you can post a link to your site.
In terms of a custom social link, you would need to add a plugin that provided a widget with your social link or just add a text widget with your html for your custom social link. Both can be added in the topbar widget area.

Hello Ooo,
One option for this would be first to go into Theme Options> Header Settings, and under “Header Extras,” enable the Widget Area.
Save the changes, and then go to Appearance> Widgets. THere, assign a “search” widget to the header widget area.
Does that work for you?

OK, so on Appearance > Widgets I removed the Pinnacle Social Links from both the Footer Column 2 and the Topbar Widget, and put them down into the Inactive Widget area. This removed the Pinnacle icons from the footer (which is good) but I still see the full range of icons at the top right side of the page.

June 28, 2017 at 11:21 pm #150212Hey Paul, What helps us a lot is if you can post a link with support requests. That would allow me to see your site and instantly tell you where to find this. Since I have to guess between a couple footer menu options it makes it harder to supply you with great support.
In your appearance > widgets look for the footer column widget areas. Check these for a menu widget.
If that isn’t it go to appearance > menus and look for a menu assigned to the footer widget.
If that isn’t it then you really must post a link.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Custom 404 page looses formatting
June 28, 2017 at 4:58 pm #150189Hey,
To use pagebuilder on a custom 404 page you need to use the “layout widget” as pagebuilder will only load css for the normal page content on the page id where it is set up.so go into your page that you are making the custom 404 page and add the layout builder widget into the page builder area and through that widget set up the page.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Adding slider to woocommerce category page
Hey Sam,
1. You can paste a slider shortcode inside any content area. Check out this tutorial on building and displaying sliders:
https://www.kadencewp.com/slider-comparisons/
You can also enable a slider on your shop page from Theme Options > Shop Settings.2. You can just add your instagram link to the virtue social links widget in your topbar widget area from Appearance > Widgets.
Hope that’s helpful!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: share buttons
Hey Anette,
Did you purchase a single theme license or a Kadence Membership? If you purchased the membership, we actually offer a sharing plugin with that bundle:
https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-simple-share/Another option within the theme is to use a Virtue: Social Links widget and add it to areas of your site using page builder or Appearance> Widgets.
And finally, this plugin will likely work well, though I haven’t had any experience with it.
Does this help?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: WPML Translate Widget Dock
Hi,
I am experimenting with the Widget Dock and noticed that I can’t find a way to translate the contents of the Widget Dock Area. I could translate the Widget title in the String-translation but can’t find the contents.
The Website URL is : *Login to see link the english versionis here: *Login to see link
Thank you.
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi again
Sorry to post again so soon after my last query but I have noticed some strange behaviour when viewing my test site on iOS devices:
The Search field randomly displays with rounded ends, rather than as a straight-edged rectangle. I’m afraid that I haven’t had time to try and work out whether or not this behaviour is caused by specific situations, but it seems quite random. I think that changing screen orientation sometimes causes the issue to occur. Also, tapping in and out of the Search field briefly shows the curved ends.
If you could look into this and see if you can replicate the problem I would be grateful.
I have placed the Search field as the top widget in the sidebar, which I have on the right. I have also made the following amendments to the styling of the Search field, using the Custom CSS tab in Theme Options to remove change the background colour, remove the box shadow, change the font colour, and thin the border:
input[type=”number”], input[type=”search”], input[type=”text”], input[type=”email”], input[type=”password”], input[type=”url”], input[type=”tel”], select, textarea {
background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0);
color: #444;
box-shadow: none;
border: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.0980392);
}input[type=”number”]:focus, input[type=”search”]:focus, input[type=”text”]:focus, input[type=”email”]:focus, input[type=”password”]:focus, input[type=”url”]:focus, input[type=”tel”]:focus, select:focus, textarea:focus {
background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0);
color: #444;
box-shadow: none;
border: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,.0980392);
}Many thanks again

In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 22, 2017 at 5:01 pm #149661Hey,
If your using page builder you can’t also use the string translation to translate any widgets. The widgets in the page and widget area will get all mixed up in WPML.
If you need to translate footer or sidebar widgets you would need to make a widget per language that way the string translation is not effecting any widgets.
