Nevermind – as I went further down I found I was able to customize the sidebar in the widgets area and got it to appear. Aside from the “Main Settings” section, it seems I have most of the site dialed in now with the preview and so I will likely activate it and see what happens. Thanks for your help Ben!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Virture: Post Grid widget
Hi there, at *Login to see link I have several Virtue: Post Grid widgets located in the Home Widget Area, each showing a different catagory of post. I have noticed that the widget is showing empty white spaces between thumbnails. This comes and goes but these blank spaces are always grouped together and are not missing thumbnails but epmty spaces/spacing inserted between active links. Any ideas and help?
Many thanks guys!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Blurry portfolio images
Hey,
One option if you want the portfolio items to appear independent of your page content would be to go to Theme Options> Home Layout, and enable the Home Widget area. Then, go to Appearance> Widgets, and add a text widget to the Home Widget area. Place the shortcode in the text widget and the portfolio items will show.
As for reducing the padding on the portfolio items within the shortcode, I’m not really sure what the best way to go about that is, but I’m sure that Ben or Hannah will chime in when they see this.
And I’m not seeing blurry images. They all look good on my end. What device/browser are you using?

April 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm #141720Can you send me a temp login so I can see what you mean about the my-account menu.. The only thing I can think of that would cause this is if you have not set a page to be the my-account page in your woo settings.
here is the css to set the order:
.kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-widget-area { order: 1; } .kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-cart { order: 2; } .kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-account { order: 3; } .kad-topbar-flex-item.kad-topbar-menu { order: 4; }Ben

Hey Sunny,
There isn’t a built in option for this exact look, but with some css we might be able to achieve something similar. Start by enabling the header widget area layout (theme options > main settings) then add a search widget to your header widget area from Appearance > Widgets. Then please provide a link to your site.Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Topbar Menu Order
How can I change the order of what appears in the topbar? I currently have there (on the right side) :
WHOLESALE (a page on a menu created for the topbar)
WIDGET AREA text
CART ICONand what I need is:
WIDGET AREA text
CART ICON
LOGIN
WHOLESALE (a page on a menu created for the topbar)>> ALSO: The LOGIN link changes to the current page name once logged in, which surely must be a bug. Shouldn’t it read, “My Account”?
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Footer disappeared
Hello fellow Kadence team,
I’ve followed all of the forums regarding adding widgets to the footer sections, but the only thing that works is the copyright and menus in the footer section. It seems like I turned off the show footer widget area somehow at some point, and can’t find how to turn it back on. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hey,
Try going to Appearance> Widgets and find the Home Widget area.
The widget should be within here.
Conversely, you could disable this by going to Theme Options> Home Layout, and moving the home widget area to the deactivated side.
Let me know if that works for you.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your quick reply and your help!
1. Yes, I have set the row and widget background colours to white, but I have these little blocks of grey on the sides that I can’t get rid of. It’s weird, as last night I only had one row of grey appearing between the first white row (pink flower) and grey row, and the rest was fine. Last night I obviously made changes that has caused it appear all over the place on the sides! Anyhow, last night I spent hours on it, and got nowhere with page builder backgrounds.
I have set a grey content area background, so you can have a look at my about page and see what I mean. Maybe you can tell what’s going on… https://www.theinspirationcloud.com/about/
I was so frazzled after getting nowhere, I thought it would just be easier to set a background for that specific page in CSS if it would work.
Thanks again!

Hey Lesly,
To show your posts in the sidebar, you need to go to Appearance> Widgets, and assign some blog widgets to your side bar. You can use Recent Posts or Virtue Recent Posts widgets to show a small blog in your sidebar.
As for the blog button, I’m not sure I’m following. have you assigned your Blog page the Blog or Blog Grid template under the Page Attributes area in the blog page’s edit screen?

April 12, 2017 at 1:54 pm #141175Hey,
Slider I can’t re-create in chrome.
Have you tried deactivating your personal chrome extensions? Have you tried a different browser? While you are on the edit slider screen right click and click “inspect” and then look on the “console” tab and let me know what shows there.
1. You have set the height to be 600px. But on mobile when text has to fix into a smaller area that is not enough height.
You seem to be using the site origin hero image which you my want to consider a different approach where you just add your text in a text widget and add a background but if you want to use that widget you will have to force a different height from your settings in the mobile size screen using css like this:
@media (max-width: 768px){ div#pgc-13-0-0 .sow-slider-base ul.sow-slider-images li.sow-slider-image { height:900px !important; } }2. In your tab widget look at “styling” and mobile view. There you will see select box where you can click on “icons only” and change it to “default”
3. In your widget settings for each “portfolio” item you have not set a height? You need to set that.
4. What do you want it to be? You would need to use css so please be specific about what you want and I can help with that.
5. Theme options > header and footer scripts.
6. “portfolio” page. What is not working? I see that you are using a fullwidth page template and that you’ve added a gallery and specifically set the link to be none for that gallery. What are you expecting to be happening on that page?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I am working on converting all their pages into woocommerce product pages.
The shop page looks great on the PC, with the vehicle filter on the side (widget in sidebar).
It gets problematic on the phone, because the sidebar is moving below the content. Is there an easy way to get a widget are for the vehicle and category filter on top of the /shop/ page?
Or any other workaround?I tried to add the shortcut as a slider, but it didn’t work well.
Much appreciated!
Thanks,
NIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: How to add text to Topbar
April 11, 2017 at 10:29 am #141014Hey,
1.
I activated all of the options, and they are not showing
You have set the text color to be white. On a white background. That make the text invisible…. I made it red so you can see.
You also don’t have any widgets added to the header widget areas so I’m not sure what you are expecting to show there?
2. The only product you have added a star to is not published? So since it’s a draft it would never show in a featured carousel…
A carousel is meant to have multiple products not just one. It has a minimum of three columns. So if you are wanting something centered below the video and you only want one product then I suggest you use your page content or widget area and add this shortcode:
[featured_products per_page="1" columns="1"]– This is of course after you actually publish a featured product.
3. The home page content is part of your theme options > home layout. You can drag it up and down and that determines where it will show on the home page.
You can also use the home widget area to add a text widget as well.
4. Theme options > products settings “Show Product Title in Header area by default” turn that off.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Changing Home Layout
Hello,
My client needs the home design like this: *Login to see link
But as you can see in my website: *Login to see link
The links which I have added in Home Widget Area are beneath the slider, in-case I remove the slider the widget shifts upward but there is no option by which I can add the other 2 slideshows alongside the links.
I can’t find any option to show two simultaneous slideshows on the home page as in the Theme Options > Home Layout there is only one option to put a slide show and by enabling the Slideshow via Widget in Home Widget Area the second slideshow appears beneath the first one.
Please help me with these.Thanks,
