In reply to: Kadence Sliders not displaying properly
I’m not certain I follow you. I made the layered slideshow using the Kadence Slider function, then simply used the Visual Editor widget to embed this in the Header Widget area. Do I understand you to say I should use the Custom HTML widget to embed this rather than the Visual Editor widget? I tried that and the slider still doesn’t appear.
I have this embedded in a Layout Builder widget so I could specify 0 padding and margins for the row and widget, but I’ve also tried it without.
I’ve made some changes to the design though I’ll still need to get this to work. I’ve relocated the logo to the center and put a smaller slideshow to either side of it, so I’ll also need some CSS help getting the header to be the full width of the 1140 pixels with no margins or padding, split up 33%, 34%, 33%. I can open a separate thread for that if you’d like.
Let me where we should go next with this one…and thanks!

Hi Carrie,
Unfortunately, you can only use the Page Content item once. For other content to add, you may use the Home Widget Area item and use the widgets included on the theme. Alternatively, use a Custom HTML/Text widget.
Here’s a screen recording for an example – https://share.getcloudapp.com/Wnuxwe19.
Hope this helps.

Hi Carla,
Sorry, the link you sent contains a side header. The toggle widget area doesn’t quite work the same as it will open on top of the content area. One workaround could be to create a side menu effect using the row layout block and creating one long side column.
Hope that’s helpful!Best,

I’ve recreated this site on a second test bed using a different method; Visual Editor > Add Media ? Gallery. This seems to be working if using a Kadence Slider in the Header Widget area isn’t an option. You can view that HERE.
I would simply want to know how to remove that gray shadow beneath the image as well as the pagination arrows.
In forum: Ascend ThemeI have to believe this is something amiss on a new site I’m working on, because this is still working just fine on a site I launched just last week albeit a bit differently.
My header (the same for each page) will consist of a logo I’ve created in the upper left corner, then a 760×250 slideshow right justified with no padding or margins. I may need some help achieving that BTW. I’ve tried inserting both a Kadence Standard and Layered Slider in the widget area in the header, but they don’t display! I typically use Layered Sliders even if I don’t take advantage of the layers, just easier to use IMO.
So I tried moving both of these sliders into rows on the page. The Standard Slider will display, the Layered will not! Needless to say I’m beyond confused. The site I’m working on is HERE.
Is something broken or am I just having a complete brain fart? When we get this working please let me know also how I would get the slideshow to display with no margins or padding. I’ll build any buffering I need into the logo.
Thanks!!

Hi Engineer,
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
You can use the Product Categories widget. It allows you to enable hierarchy within the widget settings. You would just need to enable a widget area on your shop page such as a sidebar. Would this work for you?Kindly,
HannahIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Randomie posts in Home Blog Settings
Hi again Hannah,
I have tried all the options over the past few days but no luck.
Just to refresh, my site is https://www.craftingdiy.com/
After installing SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle I was able to get more than one post to display in a row.
I have both widgets in the Home widget area. The Site Origin settings are 3 cols and 21 posts under the heading “More Posts” at the top of the page but this does not give me 3 cols. Then lower down on the page is the standard visual editor that is also set for 3 cols and 21 posts and displays 3 col just fine. Site Origin does give random posts. But The “Home Blog Settings” does give the 4 cols that I would like.
I hope this is not too rambling.
Is there a different shortcode that I can use with the Site Origin widget?
I have taken the “Under Construction” off so you can now see what I mean.
Thanks for your trouble.

Hey Janek,
Sorry for the delay! The shortode is not actually css. It is actually what outputs your blog posts so it would eliminate the need to enable latest blog posts. You can paste it into a text widget in your home widget area, or in your static homepage. Let me know if you need further assistance with this.Kindly,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeMay 1, 2021 at 12:41 pm #265480Can we not simply use “Toggle Widget Area” on both mobile and desktop headers?! Surely I am missing something. “Toggle Widget Area” and “Widget Area” both are removed when I switch to mobile header.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
Need to switch from the Classic editor to Gutenberg editor.
What are the things to be kept in mind before making the switch? Does the switch affect the website pages, posts or plugins?
I have a running website: *Login to see link and do not possess coding knowledge. Hence, need your help to make this switch.
Few details about the present website setup:
• The homepage has been created using SiteOrigin Page Builder. The other pages and posts have been created using the in-built templates available in Virtue premium.
• 17 plugins are active presently on the website.
• Several Additional CSS added as and when needed (as per the code provided by the Virtue support team)
• Widgets have been used for page sidebar, home widget area and footerLet me know if you need any further information. I have downloaded a backup of the website.
Thanks

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Add Kadence icons in header html module
April 9, 2021 at 12:42 am #264953I solved this by using the widget area item and added a html widget to it. But I think you should look into why your html item does not work the same as a html widget.
Take care,

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: WIDGET TITLE H2 TO H3 (all places)
March 29, 2021 at 4:15 pm #264690HI,
I don’t suggest you do this. A section within the HTML should have an h2 title. Google search can distinguish between the content and your aside areas like the sidebar or footer. However, you can control this however you want: https://kadence-theme.com/knowledge-base/advanced/changing-various-heading-html-tags/
View the widget title heading area.

As you can see on this page I have used the built in radius setting for the main text area (20). But to my knowledge there is no option to set radius for the Widget Sidebar Area.
Is there a way in Kadence settings to change the radius of the Widget sidebar area without creating CSS script? Also attached image in case the test page is deleted.
Thanks,
Dan-

March 18, 2021 at 12:05 pm #264477Hi Hannah!
It seems that theme Customising is having hard time showing things and applying edits. As you can see in the screenshot, settings from the archive did not apply on search page. But today I tried again and now it is working. So this problem is solved, but it is not the only time that customiser settings are missing.
I was pulling my hair off trying to find Off canvas area widgets and the setting simply didn’t show. Next day it was there. Also same with footer widget areas settings. This has happened at least five sites before. Strange! But now I know, that it was a bug and the settings really apply.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, there is no built-in option to do that. You can only enable the cart or search icon to show on the primary menu row. On the other hand, you may add a widget on the Topbar section – just turn ON the Enable widget area in right of Topbar? option in Theme Options > Topbar Settings after enabling the top bar.
Then, add a Custom HTML widget on the Topbar Widget area so you can add a button HTML.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

KarlaIn forum: Ascend ThemeHi Sara,
Thank you for reaching out to us and I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue.
Upon checking, it seems like you have enabled the tooltips and that is what makes the icons wandering upon hovering on one of them. Kindly go to Appearance > Widgets > Topbar Widget Area > Ascend: Social Links and select Disable for the Title Options – https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8uPWeAl.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

Hello Anita,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, only the email field will automatically have the link. What you could do is add a Custom HTML widget on the Topbar Widget Area and add this code so you could have a tel link for the mobile phone number:
<a href="tel:36704198081"> <i class="kt-icon-mobile"></i> +3670 419 8081 </a>Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

Hello Support team!
I’m using Contact card widget in Header Extra area, and I’d like to add the phone link to the phone number. How can I do that.
In addition, I’d like to align the contact card text to the left (now this is set to the right). Can you suggest a css code for that?
The site is the following:
