Adding a link to another page in a layout widget

I have used the Layout widget – Text to create 8 boxes. These boxes all highlight in a different colour when you hover over them and have writing overlaid on them as well for different categories. How can I add a link so that someone can click anywhere on the highlighted box to get to another page. I have tried to copy the page address and insert it into my text but it just shows up on the box as writing and doesn’t link anywhere. thanks
