Advanced gallery carousel image size too big

Hi
I’m using the fluid carousel in advanced gallery.
Under “thumbnail image size” I’m selecting medium size images 300 x 300.
When I run Lighthouse report, it flags these under “properly sized images” as being 1024 x 1024 (which is the large size option)
Is there another setting I’m missing somewhere to control the size of images in the carousel?
