BB Press & Full Width Pages

Hi All,
Having an issue to get BBpress to display all its pages in full width. I have tried various “googled” fixes but none work.
I have created the initial page in a “full width” template, it is correctly displaying, but when creating Forums’ they don’t have the option to choose a template. I suspect they are “default template” that DOES have side bars….. I suspect this is the issue?
I have tried to “copy” the page templates and rename them to bbpress.php but still no luck.
