Blog Home Page – Excerpt Images Not Consistent Size

I went to switch from Blog Grid layout to the regular layout for the blog page, and I’m having trouble solving this issue:
My featured images are not sized consistently. How do I solve this problem?
Some of them render with the cropped 400px height limit, but others are showing the entire height of the image.
Advice or solutions would be appreciated.
