Blog Post Page – Featured Image as Header Image

Is there any way to display the featured image as the header / hero image for each blog post? So where it says “KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THE 2016 HOLIDAY SEASON” I’d like to display the featured image for each post as a background image.

I know I can add it as a background image on each post page, but I have hundreds of posts that came over from a different theme like this. Is there a way to do it all at once instead one by one?
