Broken Span on Home Layout Latest Posts

I’m using the Latest Blog Posts widget in the Virtue Theme Home Layout.
Just updated to 2.8.8 and it appears the tooltip that should trigger when you hover over the small comments icon is broken. You can see it here: *Login to see link (at the very bottom, notice the ‘0″>’ in each blog preview)
