Building Website Pages (New to Kadence)

I am trying to figure out how to build my website pages and the knowledge base isn’t really helping. The header is finished, and I would like to start building my home page from scratch without using a pre-built template in the design library. When I understand how to build my homepage from scratch, then I will be clever enough to figure out the other pages. How have any of you manage to build out the home page? I prefer linear “step-by-step” guidance.
To make things easier, I am not sure how to build up individual page elements for each section. If a whole page is too much to ask, then one of you could show me how to build up a couple rows with information section blocks. Any help is appreciated. This new method of building pages is driving me nuts.
