Cannot Activate theme

Hello,
We tried to activate Pinnacle Premium but we keep getting the error:
Connection failed to the License Key API server. Make sure your host servers php version has the curl module installed and enabled.
I have raised the issue with the hosting but they replied that all is OK.
Please help
