can't change portfolio permalinks

hi,
trying to change my portfolio permanent link basis and it is not working.
tried to change it in theme settings > portfolio options > portfolio permanent link basis … nothing happens.
tried to resave the permalinks in settings > permalinks … nothing happens.
can you help me please?
