Carousel images as thumbnails for pages

Hi,
I’m very new to wordpress but already impressed by the ease of working with the Virtue theme… However, I am having some trouble with what seems like should be a basic layout element.
I’d like to use an image carousel on my home page, right below the slider like in the demo version, but I’d like the images to act as thumbnails which link to my services page. I don’t want a portfolio page and I’m not selling any products so don’t need a products page.
Is there a way to set up a generic image carousel that just links to a specific page?
Sorry if it’s an amateur question…
