How can i make a the following centered

The heading of all blog posts + the details below it (author, posted in:) + the Date (usually shows on the extreme right, would like to have the date show centered as well)

Example:

WordPress Resources at SiteGround2
posted in: Uncategorized |

xxx xx xx xxx xxxxx xx xx (would be the post content)

I tried this;
.entry-content {
text-align: center;
}

but it does not work
