Change hover for topbar and footer

Hi!
I have a nice white font main navigation with yellow hover. My topbar and footer also have white fonts.
However, the topbar does not hover at all, only displays a LIGHTER square around the text.
Then the footer font hovers in blue, which is the “Primary Color” for my site, and around the text there comes a DARKER quare.
I´d like to have them all hovering the same (yellow), of course. How can I change the hover color settings of the footer and topbar fonts and how do i change the hover color of the square? I didn´t find anything in the theme options.
