Changing static page as homepage isn’t working

I’m looking to change up my home page so I built another one but I can’t get Virtue to recognize it as the new home page. I went into Settings –> Reading –> and changed the static page to the new page and it doesn’t change it. I tried selecting another page that is already on my website as the new static page and it doesn’t change to it either. Any ideas on how to correct this issue?
