child theme .css is not working

Hi There.
i have made a child theme to do some .css modifications. This was working quit well, but today the .css code from the child is not to working anymore.
I have put !important; in the code but that does not make a difference.
I have tried to put the code into the advance settings of the theme and tried to put directly in the child css folder. Not one of the options work.
What could be causing the problem?
