Hi Kadence-team,
I’m experiencing a problem with the activation of the theme update API License Key (‘key’). It is slightly different from the activation problems other users on this forum experienced. Below, I will explain what’s the matter and then provide some system information. Could you please help out? Thanks, Michiel
Problem: conflicting license key activation notifications
I have submitted the key and the API licence email. (I used the same email address as was already registered when I bought the licence). According to my Kadence account, under ‘My API Keys’, activation was successful. However, in my WordPress ‘settings’ screen, I got a notification that connection to the License Key API server failed and that I need to check if my host’s servers php version has the curl module enabled. I checked with my host and they said that this module is enabled. Then I tried deactivating and subsequently activating the key, but then it said: “The license could not be deactivated. Use the License Deactivation tab to manually deactivate the license before activating a new license.” So according to my Kadence account the activation was successful, but according to the settings screen of my WP-installation it failed.
System information
I am using Virtue Premium v. 3.6.6.
According to the Redux status report, the servers php version is: 5.3.28 and the wordpress function wp_remote_get(); is enabled.
Activating a different Virtue licence key for a different Kadence account – for a different website, but with the same host, with the same specifications as above and using the same computer/worklocation as before while registering – worked fine.
