Cyclone slider on every page and media/image placement quality

CYCLONE SLIDER ON EVERY PAGE:
I’m trying to have my cyclone home slider on every page, and don’t have very many pages. I’ve successfully done it by using the “Overide and use a Shortcode Slider” and the only page it doesn’t work is the main Blog page. It works on the Blog Post pages, Home, About, etc.

So the questions are:
1. Is there some global field I can place the shortcode so the slider will show on all pages?
2. If not, what should I do with the main Blog post page to get the slider to show?

QUALITY OF PHOTOS PLACED IN VISUAL EDITOR VS. THE SAME PHOTOS PLACED IN PINNACLE OR SITE ORIGIN IMAGE WIDGETS:
When I place a photo with the media button in Visual Editor, the quality is low. Almost blurry, compared to when an image is placed with Pinnacle or Site Origin widgets. Same size, same photo, lower quality. What’s happening? Any ideas how to get around it? I’d like to have the text wrap option some photos which can’t be done with the image widgets.
