I have been working from the download content demo “Shopping” for the Ascend Premium Theme. I’ve made a few changes as I work into my site: http://www.cagesplus.com/dev. Not sure I am asking the right questions here. Where is the default setting for the background image size for product categories. I at first assumed these were all pages, but sometimes I can edit them and sometimes I cannot. For example,

— I cannot edit. While logged in and if I look at that page the black edit line says the Name (Cages*Plus), Customize, Theme Options, …, New. But there is no option to edit page. Not sure what kind of entity “shop” is. Doesn’t really seem to be a page at all. But it is listed with all the “other” pages under Pages >> All Pages

–I can edit. But I cannot figure out where the default setting is for the background image. On this page is it blank and it looks ok as far as height, but I’d like to know how to control the height. But the edit line here says “…Edit Page…”

–I can edit, but here the edit line says “…Edit Product Category…” But the default size here is different than the default above. So I am confused about where all these different “default” background images are set or where you can change them. This is not a page. When I finished editing it it goes to Products >> Categories.

So I guess I don’t understand the vernacular. What is a page, what is a category, what is a product category? Where do all the defaults get set for these. Where does “Shop” fall into all of this. It doesn’t seem to be a page. It is sitting there as a page, but there is no text, not even shortcode in it. Sorry for all the lame questions. I just want to try and figure this out rather than pay a small fortune for someone else to do it! Thanks. /Bob DeCloss
