Demo 1 Home page slider text

Want to alter Text on the home page slider of Demo 1. Went to HOME SLIDER from THEME OPTIONS and there is nothing there to alter. Would I be better off just dumping the DEMO 1 and altering and adding from scratch? Seems like it’s confusing to replicate but slightly modify what has been established in DEMO 1. For example the home page slider on demo 1 appears to have no images or info attached, so there is nothing to modify- unless I am missing something (which is a huge possibility).
