Different site width – header and content

Hey guys!
I am trying to differentiate the site width of the header and content. I am able to change it all at once, however, I would like to have the header with no width limit and the content with a more conservative, perhaps 1440px width. Is this possible? The site in question is http://www.jazzandcookies.com, please see the about or connect pages.
